Reviews
Also, water was cold, water-pressure low, and half of plugs in room didn't work.
Breakfast was awful, food didn't have any taste, it was very poor.
We booked this hotel for one reason: AIR CONDITIONING. After a long, scorching drive with an unwell baby and young child, we needed somewhere cool. The website and ******* promised aircon, yet shortly after midnight it shut off. Reception told us it is deliberately switched off until 6am - nowhere was this disclosed! The night receptionist was apologetic & kind, but said the hotel had no fans. Shocking, given the ridiculous aircon policy at the peak of summer!
We were on the second floor with no window bars, so opening them was too dangerous; the thought of our child climbing out and falling was horrifying. We had no safe alternative and suffered an unbearable night. Our baby cried in the heat, our older child tossed and sweated, and we paid for a service we did not receive.
The hotel is shabby and falling apart: stained carpets, smelly towels, ragged bathmats, chipped furniture, minimal toiletries & a single cheap roll of toilet paper for a family of four. Everything screams a shoestring budget, yet it advertises itself as more. Guests are misled, cheated, & left frustrated; the hotel earns bad reviews instead of loyalty.
This review reflects only our experience in this room. We wish we'd never booked and were drained the next day. Do not be fooled by photos or the aircon listing. If you value comfort, health, and your money, stay elsewhere until management finally invests in improvments!
This hotel is a complete disaster. It is by far the worst we have ever stayed in. The mattresses were uncomfortable and dirty, the room was tiny and very poorly equipped, with filthy walls and damp everywhere. There was not even enough space to sit properly on the toilet. We spend on average over 100 nights in hotels per year and have visited over 76 countries, so we know that problems can arise. But when I voiced my complaints to the reception, the lady told me that for the price paid, I should be happy to have this poor service. We had booked in advance and paid €95 per night. My advice: avoid this hotel at all costs. The breakfast was simply catastrophic. In short, they are rubbish across the board.
There was no air conditioning in any part of the hotel and the receptionist said she could not say when this would come on. A couple of days later the air conditioning came on but only for about a hour a day and not at a time whe needed.
The food is appalling. We were half board. This is meant to be a 3 star hotel but I would be kind to give a 2 star rating.
I have a dairy allergy and gluten intolerance but not only was my food shockingly bad, everyone else's food was just as bad too.
I would either be served 20 minutes before the rest of the party sat at our table or 20 minutes after, once not at all for my main meal and then told I had not ordered anything the evening before, which I very definitely did. For was often served cold and not well presented at all. I was also given 2 whole peaches in a bowl for dessert. Breakfasts were self service and just as bad. Cold meat including salami. The salami was extremely fatty and the cold meat was the same platter throughout the week with the older cuts dry, discoloured, and curled at the edges. Hard boiled eggs were green. Scrambled eggs stone cold for other guests. The restaurant was understaffed and in a rush to clear tables my plate of food was often removed from me as I was still eating. All food for self service was not covered and did not have any means to keep food warm if needed.
That said the waiting staff were lovely and it must have been embarrassing for them to serve such awful food to guests.
The Hotel also has groups of teenage school children. Once one group leave another group arrives. Teenagers being and doing what teenagers do whe not at home cannot be blamed really but to put them in the same hotel with older generation guests who have to be up early for a tour the next day is not recommended as they run riot in the hotel until the early hours.
Stay there if you wish but don't say you haven't been warned!
