This is a very grand and luxurious hotel in a great location. The room was beautifully appointed and we had a gorgeous view over Siena and the Duomo. The bar is great place to go for cocktails but also some excellent wine. We were in Siena on a Monday night so options were limited in town so we ended up having drinks in the hotel bar. Excellent service and great drink options in a beautiful old world style bar.
The location is excellent, at the top of Siena. A short stroll to all the main areas.
Staff were all friendly and accomodating. I would recommend staying here

We were stunned at the beauty of this hotel. It is actually a palace which has been converted into the most wonderful hotel. Staying in the well-appointed room with its unique art and design made us feel like royalty. All of the staff, especially at the front desk, treated us that way as well. You really have to experience this for yourself. And the location is right in the center of Siena. We were a short walk from everything.

Staff is amazing! The hotel is beautiful! Hotel is very clean and a respite from walking all day! Be sure and ask for different pillows if you are particular... they have many kinds to choose from!

The Grand Hotel Continental in Siena is a rare gem,elegant, inviting, and steeped in history. From the beautifully preserved interiors to the warm, attentive staff, every detail makes you feel genuinely cared for. Its central location is unbeatable, placing Siena’s most charming sights just steps away. A perfect blend of luxury and authentic Tuscan character, this hotel transforms a stay in Siena into something truly unforgettable. The foods were yummy took!

Great location, excellent service, shabby room.
We stayed in the Deluxe View With Terrace. The Grand Hotel Continental in Siena is a beautiful building and our room was in dire need of some maintenance. Walls are cracking and paint is chipping. The old stone floor could use professional deep clean, fortunately, there were slippers. There also aren't any surfaces for you to put your personal items and the shower is a tub with a half piece of plastic as the curtain.
The terrace was the best part about our room. One day we brought sandwiches back to the hotel and had drinks outside on our private terrace.
Overall, I would expect a room in better condition given the price we paid.

Everyone at this hotel was amazing and so helpful. One employee stood out though, Elina. My wife ended up getting sick so we needed to extend our stay. When I went downstairs she made the process seemless and immediately asked if there was anything the hotel could do. She offered and arranged for the chef to make a fresh broth soup. It was delicious and helped get her back on her feet. Truly a 5 star experience all around. Thank you to everyone at the hotel.

It was a great time. Only problem was that it was too short. The beds were very comfortable, rooms clean, staff amazing, beautiful views. We will be back.

Old and tired hotel with very unfriendly front desk staff & concierge. Strongly recommend everyone not to use this hotel.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Grand Hotel Continental in Siena. The location is perfect. It’s so easy to walk to restaurants, shopping, and all the beautiful sites of the city. The hotel staff were kind and accommodating and the concierge is very helpful setting up reservations at top notch restaurants. We had a beautiful view from our room. We would love to visit again.
