Hotel Alaska Cortina is in a great central location and the staff were all friendly and helpful. Our room was huge and the breakfast buffet was great. They also provided a nice packed breakfast on the day we checked out as we had a very early start. The only downside is that it is a bit dated, but that didn’t have any impact on our stay.

I arrived in Cortina d'Ampezzo by bus from Venice. The bus stop was in front of the church, the city's symbol, so it was a two-minute walk to the hotel, a two-minute walk to the main street, a 15-minute walk to the Tofana Gondola, and a 10-minute walk to the Olympic Center (bus stop for Tre Cime). The location is good, but parking is difficult. Parking costs 40 euros per day. However, the front desk staff provided excellent service. The black employee who worked the evening shift was so friendly that it was the first time I felt like tipping in Italy.

Checked in at around 4pm. The service was relatively slow and we were required to write down our credit card details on a piece of paper which is uncommon for newer hotels. The card I was issued had issue and I had to circle back and forth to the reception which wasn’t the best experience.

We stayed one night, slept well, the room was spacious, and we had a good breakfast (which was brought forward upon our request). The only thing I can recommend is a sign indicating where the hotel parking is located (they're currently undergoing construction), and it was difficult to find. If I have the chance, I'll definitely return to that property.

Location was alright if you don’t want to stay at Venice itself. The lady reception was very friendly and welcoming but the experience was marred by the next day by a middle aged male reception that was so rude and condescending . I asked him about the refill of the mineral water and he rolled his eyes and said “so what do you want? You want water? There!” I’m so appalled cos I never encountered this...

The hotel's location is fine, but Google Maps had it marked incorrectly, so I initially went to the wrong place. Check-in is at 2 PM, and they offer luggage storage. This hotel was the most expensive of my entire trip to Italy, yet it had the smallest room. The soundproofing is poor; you can clearly hear noise from the hallway, and the elevator is slow.

The room was quite nice, and the hotel's decor, including the wallpaper color, had a European flair. However, the room was a bit small. On the plus side, the location is excellent; it's just a two-minute walk to the train station, and there's a parking lot nearby.

Well located near Venezia Mestre train station. All good, however, there was an unpleasant smell in the bathroom, old instalation.

We had a really pleasant time at hotel Mediterranee. Room were nicely decorated and all the furniture one can need for a small stay. Little fridge and kitchen. 2 tvs. Queen size bed. The hotel even provided with some really nice safety fences for the child beds, just in case. The food was very good. Lot of choices ranging from sea food, pasta and lot of different meats for the carnivores like me....

This is our second time here, and we're once again thrilled and very comfortable. The hotel is very clean, offers plenty of attractions, and the beach is just a 5-minute walk away. The staff is wonderful, especially the waiters! The food is delicious and varied. I highly recommend it and would definitely come back again with our kids!

The hotel staff was nice to allow us to change room from a faraway from lobby with lots of steps to one without needing to climb steps as my friend can’t really take steps with her knee issues The hotel is also very near the water bus station & surrounded by bustling activities at night The only issue is the room doesn’t have heater so feel little cold at night but still manageable Hotel comes...

Perfecto location for access main places of Venice. We fully enjoyed easy access for sightseeing as well as airport transportation by ship. The facilities are bit old, we hope the hotel had more strong WiFi connection and power capacity wattage. But basically excellent stay! The staff was very friendly and we had no stress. Their cuppchino was very good in breakfast.

Prime location. Good breakfast. Close to all attractions and restaurants. Only there was a drainage smell in the toilet. No iron is allowed. We enjoyed the prime location. On the whole, I had a great holiday .

Stayed for a week mid February. Booked a main hotel quadruple room for 2 adults and 2 kids. To be fair room a bit too cozy for 4 people so after a first night asked to be moved to the apartment residence which is part of the hotel and about 200 m down the road. Apartment is much more suitable for a family we have a separate bedroom a kitchen corner with fridge and hob, generally much more space. Booked...

This hotel falls short on what they offer in their website. The rooms are old fashioned with signs of deterioration. In the rooms for four people they provide bunk beds which in my room were very uncomfortable. Cleanliness can be improved. The location is nice and the staff is kind and provides good service.

Excellent Hotel, where people make the difference :-) Impressed by the high quality and delicious food. Roof top bar has been recently renovated. A nice bar and pools are inviting to relax. Overall, everything exceeded our expectations. We made the booking just a week and a half before our stay and booked five nights. Our stay this time was very interesting, and we had a few experiences that were always handled excellently with our needs in mind. Every member of the hotel staff was always concerned about our well-being. Loved the staff and location, but they have a rule that you can't bring food into your room. I understand why and that being an old hotel with a lot of guests it makes a burden on the staff, but when we caught something flying there and traded off days being sick, I really hated that we had to go out for food, not only because we were sick, but as a public health professional, I knew we were just spreading...

Overwhelmed by the amount of choice of hotels and apartments in Venice, I procrastinated and left it super late to book our accommodation. I kept looking at this hotel but wasn’t sure about the location. It turned out to be the perfect location, quiet enough to not disturb sleep but central enough to get everywhere within easy walking distance, and only 6min walk to the ferry service to and from airport...

An excellent little hotel on a quiet street in a great location. 5 minute walk to the Fondamente Nuove stop for the water taxi or the airport ferry 15 minute walk to Piazza San Marco 10 minute walk to vaporetto 10-15 minute walk to the lovely wine bars of Cannaregio Staff is wonderful. Room had A/C, which was key, but could use a bit of an update. Perhaps to be expected for a historic building....

This place was beautiful and it was in a great and quiet location!! We didn't end up using the whirlpool. You do need to sign a rule agreement if you think you are going to use it. Wonderful stay – highly recommended! I arrived very late at night (around midnight), but the staff welcomed me with a warm smile and made me feel at home right away. The hotel is very well situated. The breakfast was delicious with great coffee and fresh squeezed orange juice. The staff was very attentive. The room was specious and clean. The only downside for me was the pillows, they were extra firm and I prefer them softer but all in all I've had a very beautiful stay.

The hotel is very well located, only 30 minutes from Venice. Treviso is a very pretty city (also worth visiting). The staff is very kind and professional. We slept extremely well, ate (breakfast) and enjoyed ourselves. The hotel is very good 4 stars and very good value for money.

It is close to the TREVISO train station, which makes travel very convenient and it is also close to the city. The breakfast was good, but the room was on a strange floor, which was not very convenient (probably because the elevator was under maintenance). The room rate was not cheap by comparison.

About 30mins walk to tourists attraction in city center. Lidl is 5 mins walk for grocery shopping. Lobby is a bit dated but the room is renovated.

We booked this place last minute, driving from Florence towards Venice. We arrived at 10 pm, super easy check in and self parking was a breeze. This is an old villa on a large property. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous, it has a golf course, good size swimming pool, old huge trees, a pond and some walking trails within the property. A last minute decision to visit Malcesine in Lake Garda found us making a booking with the Hotel Excelsior Bay and this proved to be a great choice. The Excelsior Bay has stunning lake and Mountain View’s and is perfectly positioned around a 5 minute stroll outside of the busy centre of Malcesine and the walk North into Town or indeed South to explore offers beautiful views all the way. Good hotel. Our room was quite large and clean. The mattresses were good, except for the mattress on the extra bed, which was a bit uncomfortable. The bathroom was relatively large and mostly clean, unfortunately, the door jammed somewhat and was somewhat damaged. The staff was friendly. Staff were very helpful especially Riccardo who was exceptionally friendly and went the extra mile. We wish we’d have known beforehand that you need your own towels and swimming caps for the pool. The pool water was very warm as was the tap water in room/shower really hot. You probably could burn yourself with it. We only stayed 1 night but we had a very good time. The hotel is a 3 star and has an internal swimming pool connected to an external one surrounded by a beautiful garden, not too large but pleasant. The outdoor pool is very nice, with a whirlpool and jets. Maybe a little small if the hotel was full, but in our case it was not crowded and we had a great time. We’ve been coming to this excellent hotel for a few years now and have no reason to change. First of all, very spacious rooms in the original 80s glamour style which is cool. We had a great time. We liked the relaxing atmosphere of the hotel, the perfect temperature in all areas, excellent lunches, dinners and breakfasts. The pools with hydromassage are beautiful and open until late at night and never too crowded. The gym and spa are also very nice. A wonderful experience, I am disabled in a wheelchair due to multiple sclerosis, and I have finally found the perfect spa for those who cannot walk!!! The hotel was fantastic, comfortable and spacious rooms with two types of pillows, a lovely spa style pool with a jacuzzi swim out area and the breakfast service in particular was a highlight. Our waiter was amazing and remembered what we liked to drink and eat each day. All of the staff were exceptional and really made the experience. The gym looked great...

The man at breakfast made our day throughout the stay! The Shuttle service to town was amazing. The rooms were indeed very nice.The hotel lobby isn’t warm and welcoming it looks like a waiting room of an office made to look like a hotel. The SPA lacks - it seems they offer things that the personnel has not ready for - like they're still in school. Considering that Four Seasons is also a 5 star hotel...

Located a little distance from the town centre but opposite a ski jump. Very nice hotel, spacious rooms, well managed. Lovely buffet breakfast spread and their restaurant is elegant. Service is excellent, the Conceirge Susanna is brilliant and most helpful!! Love the view from their breakfast room
