Hotel Yoshino in Ito

❤️ The hotel service was excellent. An elderly gentleman even helped wipe down our suitcases. The room had the AC turned on in advance, and hot water was prepared and kept warm for us.
❤️ Our names were written on the shoe cabinet beforehand, and also on the board by the entrance.
❤️ There are hot springs on the 2nd and 4th floors. The pools are a bit small, but super clean. The 4th floor has an outdoor one.
❤️ The location is about an 8-10 minute walk from Ito Station.

💙 The hotel itself was a bit cold inside, and the facilities weren't very numerous or comprehensive; it's more of an older-style onsen hotel.
🧡 The room had a toilet, which was mini but clean.
🧡 There were plenty of power outlets in the room.

Excellent experience 👍 The staff, mostly elderly gentlemen and ladies, were incredibly gentle and polite, always greeting me when I came and went. There was a Chinese introduction available, and while I pointed out a few typos to the staff hoping for future corrections, it wasn't a major issue. The typical Japanese bedding was very clean. They even wiped down my suitcase upon entry, which was a nice touch. It was a really great experience, and I'd definitely choose this place again if I come back. I heard from the izakaya owner that their meals are also good, so I might try them next time.

Highly recommended! This place completely fulfilled my expectations of a traditional Japanese ryokan from movies and anime. Tatami mats, sliding doors, a tea table – it had it all, and the room was very clean and quite spacious. I loved the designated spot for shoes right at the entrance. The lobby on the first floor is beautiful and perfect for photos. Upstairs, there's a communal onsen (with both indoor and outdoor baths) and a rock bath, with separate times for men and women. The area isn't huge, but with fewer people this season, it was very relaxing. On the second floor, there's a common area where you can enjoy tea, chat, do some light exercise, or read manga. My only awkward moment was not realizing there was no breakfast; I waited in my room for half an hour, which made me rush later. I didn't get to visit Mount Omuro this time (the cable car was out of service), but if I'm ever in Ito again, I'll definitely stay here.

The hotel is very close to Ito Station, about a 7-8 minute walk. There's a bus stop right outside Ito Station that goes to Mt. Omuro; it's the starting point, so check the bus schedule and arrive early to wait. Seats are available. There are also many restaurants near Ito Station.

Although the hotel is older, it's clean and tidy overall. You need to change shoes in the lobby; shoes are placed on the cabinets next to you with their names on them. The private bathroom in the room isn't very functional; you have to use the public onsen (hot spring) area, which is slightly inconvenient. However, the onsen water is very clear, and soaking in it after a long day of walking is truly relaxing.

The elderly gentleman at the front desk was very patient and used a translator to help us check in. Breakfast is delivered to the room; you can confirm the breakfast time at check-in, and a delivery person will call in advance to confirm. The breakfast selection is limited; it was great the first day, but you might get tired of it after three days. If you're only staying one night, I would still recommend the breakfast.

Room is a bit old, but still very clean. Price is very good with dinner and breakfast.

The location is near Ito Station, not far.

There's an Aeon and a 7-Eleven convenience store along the way. There are also many restaurants nearby.

At the hotel entrance, someone will wipe your luggage clean before you enter.

The room was quite nice, with two soup bowls that were changed at different times.

The traditional hotel. Mostly of the visitors are local people. The host was very nice to me. I have tattoos and the host gave me pass to a private onsen. Will come back to this place.
Also have a great breakfast with traditional sea food meals.
