Yumenoya in Ito

We had a very relaxing overnight stay with a amazing kaiseki dinner ,great service & hospitality and an even greater night & breakfast. My partner and I will recommend this Ryokan to all our travelling friends. I just wished I could speak the language and I hope we were both good guests.

From welcoming us to seeing us off, we were treated with great care and consideration, which was very helpful.
The food was delicious and we were very satisfied, and the hot water in the private open-air bath and the open-air bath in our guest room was also very pleasant and relaxing.
We stayed at Shizuka on January 3rd and 4th.

Although the location is a little hard to find, the relaxing and quiet atmosphere and delicious food made for a truly relaxing getaway. I was also surprised to encounter wild squirrels on the terrace of my room and in the open-air bath.

The environment is beyond imagination. The quiet Japanese-style room is very comfortable. I like this tatami-style hot spring. It is also my favorite private hot spring. You can soak in the hot spring with a suitable temperature and you can see the outdoor mountain view. The meals are also Japanese-style and the service is super enthusiastic. Thumbs up for being picked up and dropped off by hotel staff when arriving and leaving the hotel👍🏻 I will come again next time I have the opportunity

We received courteous service from arrival to departure. Being in a separate building, the chances of encountering other guests are low.

The food, both dinner and breakfast, was delicious.

The bath was disappointing.

The bathroom in the room was pitch black at night, and the lack of visibility and the surrounding greenery created a feeling of confinement.

There was a small private open-air bath, but the view didn't offer much depth.

Perhaps it would have been different with some clever lighting.

The room itself was nice, with a sofa, a spacious bed, and comfortable pillows.

The layout was also good.

While I don't feel like I wasted my money, it felt like it could have been better.

My first time in Japan and this is one of the best places I’ve had the honour to stay at. The location is hidden down a path that makes you feel Spirited Away vibes. I can not write as much as I like to compliment the staff, words cannot describe the outstanding service they provide. It feels weird not to worry so much about carrying my luggage around and everyone is extremely polite and well-dressed. We got a massage at night, and even though it was late they called the massage place and arranged for two masseuses to our room and it was fantastic; my first time and very comfortable. There is English everywhere but I recommend knowing Japanese to speak to staff respectfully. The private bath is better than any other places I had stayed at during our time and the free amenities are spectacular, even mandarins!! Also, the driving service is over the top amazing, it was so shocking everyone greeted us like royalty. There are not enough words to describe the amazing time, Thank you! :)
