I come here to get rest from the Tokyo buzz. It's awesome! The place has a great variety of baths. There are also a lot of facilities inside. My favorites are the restaurant, massage chair room and relaxation services. The scenery around is so pretty, and it's great for walks. All the workers are extra friendly. I stayed by myself and it was very comfortable. The room size was just right, not as small as I thought it would be. The breakfast was satisfying and quite varied. For just over 300 a night, the price was excellent.

Being a Marriott property, the facilities, service, and cleanliness were all quite good. It's very close to Nagoya Station, with plenty of restaurants nearby, and the underground shopping street also offers many food options. Getting to the Sakae shopping district is convenient as well.

Coming out of the west exit of Echigo-Yuzawa Shinkansen Station, there's a free shuttle service that runs every 10 minutes or so in the morning, and every 20-30 minutes in the afternoon. We went to Naspa new Otani hotel for purpose of skiing. I wanted a complete ski resort close to town. The rooms were big with a bath. The hotel also has a great onsen. One of the nicest hotels we stayed in Japan. The lack of space in our room was a big issue. We’ve stayed in 10 different hotels in Japan this trip and this was by far the smallest. No room for our bags which meant the cleaners couldn’t access to clean rooms. The staff in the lobby were lovely. Breakfast was adequate.

I stayed in the new building, so the building was very clean and I was satisfied, and the bath was great, but the food was catastrophic. An older hotel building that feels like it’s plucked right out of 1995. Service from staff was great. You can tell this place was once top of the line with older wooden furniture and chandeliers. But still a cozy stay. Room feels like it can be a bit dingy and dusty if that bothers you, but we’re okay with that.
