Very nice vintage like rooms, you feel like you are living in a previous, simpler time, although all the facilities are modern and convenient. The owner was really helpful and fun to be around throughout the whole stay, the guesthouse was really nicely decorated and the cat super kawaii. He even let us play at the pachinko machine and taught us how to win! The guesthouse is a 10 mintue walk to anything you would ever need, from food, bathhouse, bar and especially the most important, the main station of Kyoto! All in all, it was a great experience, I can't wait to come again!

It was a very good experience. Hisashi-san was very kind and helpful. He even helped us get our lost baggage from airport. The guest house smelled amazing and the rooms were very nice. There are 2 different room types, japanese style and western style. It was very clean and comfy for a cheap price. Higly recommended. Also, Maro-chan was really cute.

Nice traditional style Japanese house. Not super far from Kyoto station. Very nice shower/bath area. Futons were very thin and not much cushioning. Overall a pleasant stay

Rinn Umekoji is located 15 minutes from the JR station but far from the city's landmarks. Although the house is beautiful and has a kitchen, washing machine, dryer, and television, which made the stay very comfortable, I must say that you could hear the train passing right next door (but that didn't stop us from sleeping wonderfully).
It seemed to me that its situation is not the best to enjoy Kyoto.

For a long stay, come to Parkside Umekoji. You have a cooking range, a microwave, a washing machine...... the works. Good places to eat if you go along the road towards station.
