We also opted for the breakfast buffet for a small fee which is probably the best breakfast buffet I've had in Japan

I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Hillarys. The location is perfect for exploring Osaka—it’s just a short walk to Kuromon Market for breakfast and very close to the Namba shopping areas

One of the best parts was the second-floor lobby area where they offer free soft drinks and even some bread/pastries. After a long day of walking around Dotonbori, it was so nice to come back to a friendly environment

The only good thing they have is the shampoo and drink bar on reception level

A few small drawbacks: there were no bathrobes in the room, and no cutlery for food or tea/coffee. You may need to request these at the front desk or check the amenities area near the front desk hallway

The room was very clean and surprisingly spacious—something I didn’t expect, as my past experiences with Japanese hotels have usually been limited by small room sizes

The service was a bit unsettling, the staff people were really kind and friendly but I had to do the check-in myself using a machine (which is quite inconvenient since I have a long foreign name so it can be hard to retrieve the reservation

Also, I was on a very high floor but it was still really noisy from the street and cars outside, and from the hallway (I was only there 2 days but there were at least 2-3 instances where the doors near me had some key-card issues and it kept beeping for a very long time before someone came to fix it)

She went above and beyond to help us: she carefully planned our route to the Avatar Mountains and even assisted us with buying tickets. Her kindness and support made our trip absolutely stress-free and unforgettable

Overall I would said it is clean and safe for the price and also extremely convenient if you have a packed schedule and spend most of your time outside, but not super ideal for resting

This hotel is located in a good central location. Not too far from dotonbori and denden town. Very close to both 24hr convenience store and Don Qijote store

Got a good price for the superb location. If you are not concerned about the look of the room this is a good place to rest. This is an old hotel but with easy access to Dotonburi, Denden town and near the train station

Very old dated hotel. Mould in the bathroom and vents in the bedroom. Location is very good but only recommend staying here for 1 night

Staff was helpful, but that's the only good thing to be said about this hotel. Everything is old, outdated and dirty. Breakfast is abysmal, you will get tea, coffee, hard boiled eggs and a toast with gem/butter

Cons-- No soundproofing of walls. No drawers or almirah. Mobile Chargering point not close to bed or the table. Pros-- Polite staffs, clean and santised rooms with very good location and view.

The hotel's location is excellent, just a 10-minute walk to Shinsaibashi. There's a FamilyMart convenience store nearby and plenty of dining options in the area

Room 307 seems *******. Wife felt uneasy throughout the night. Good location though. Be careful if u stay in room 307

This hotel was very spacious which is uncommon for Japan. It was also very affordable and the staff were friendly and helpful. The laundry facilities are really good and the bathroom is very nice as well

I called the front desk for help, and even though English communication was a bit tricky and we had to use some Japanese words, they were incredibly helpful and lent me a white light desk lamp

The lighting at the desk in my room was a bit dim (yellow light), making it difficult to work on my computer as shadows kept getting in the way

It's about a 30-min train ride with transfer away from the Osaka City centre. Hence fair price and indeed good value for money

Good to buy a Kansai Rail Pass to have unlimited train rides for a fun travel for 2 days or more

It’s a couple of short rides on the trains to get into Osaka, but it’s worth it because the accommodation is so good. Modern, clean and comfortable with so much room at an amazing price

Although the organic scent was not to my liking. Water heater, hair blower and cups were also provided. Not too far and not too close to shinsaibashi subway station. Breakfast is good with variety of wagyu dish

The hotel was very clean, and I got a great deal at just over 300 yuan a night since I traveled during the off-season. Just remember that check-out is at 11 AM; they charge an hourly fee for late check-outs.

Also, it’s walking distance from Universal Studios Japan (USJ) and I came to stay the night before going to USJ and should have booked to stay the night after as well instead of going straight back to Kyoto, so would highly recommend everyone going to USJ to stay here both before and after

However, when I get to try, it does have a good selection. My room was decent size but the bed and pillow was way too hard. And you can easily knocked into the basin in the bathtub or while on the toilet bowl

The location offers excellent transportation links; Universal Studios is only about a 30-minute journey. You can also easily take the Kintetsu line and transfer to reach other destinations

There's a Holiday Inn not far away, which might also be a good option depending on the price, since I pretty much just sleep in the room anyway

We stayed for 3D2N, it was undoubtedly pleasant stay, with the unlimited refill of ramen as midnight snacks, and the superb breakfast to start my day, will definitely come back Osaka again for the stay

Location wise is also perfect for shopping and food hunting. 5 was because of not be able to stay longer

Ventilation is not that good. Centralized temperature control with heat and window can’t be opened. No ventilation at washroom. Otherwise, things are good.
