A lovely stay in a budget hostel. We ended up making bookends of our 2 week Japan trip by staying here at the beginning and rebooking for the end of our trip, we liked it so much.

It’s a quiet hostel, with an older crowd (not a place if you want to go nightclubbing but definitely a place for you to meet others to visit a museum together)

Reception is 24hr and staff are lovely with amazing English (fluent) - which is a big help when you’ve just come off the plane completely jet lagged.

The area is full of bookstores, wine bars, izakayas and is near the top of the Emperial Gardens. I really enjoyed my stay here and will come back when visiting Tokyo again

Thank you from Australia!

My family and I have been traveling in Tokyo. My family consisting of two adults and two full-grown teenagers stayed for 7 nights at Sakura hotel in a family room with two bunk beds and one extra bed, with shared shower and toilet. The room was a good size, spotless, including the shared bathrooms and toilets. Breakfast was included in the price and was just what we needed and everyone was full and satisfied until lunchtime. The hotel was very reasonably priced and the location was accessible. The staff was very friendly. We had only booked one night at Sakura hotel initially, but our children wanted to stay longer so we booked the same hotel for three more nights and then three more because we enjoyed it so much and we couldn't find a better option in the same price range.

Sakura Hotel Jimbocho is what you'd expect from a low cost hostal. I was exhasuted when I got there and the staff made checking in easy. Staff were also very accommodating to my utter lack of Japanese speaking skills.

You get a free breakfast voucher for your first night, but the breakfast is just a small selection of coffee, toast, and soup (the soup was quite good though).

Ammenities such as shower and restroom were well suited to the size of the floor I was staying on. Do keep in mind that towels are rented from the front desk if you did not bring your own- pretty standard for hostals.

I stayed in a private one-bed room. It was cozy and well kept, but expectedly a bit old.
My only big complain would be the persistent smell of cigarette smoke in the room. I spent my whole stay fighting it by turning fans on, propping the door open, ect.!

I actually made a mistake on my booking order. I should stay in Ikebukuro, but accidentally ordered in Jimbocho instead. But I didn't regret anything. It was so nice because I can see another prefecture by accident. I also didn't find any difficulities with the local transportation (I didn't use any taxi at all) and it's near to Jimbocho Station gate A1. The staff's communication also so good, their English skills is amazing! I don't have any complain when my stay (6d5n), the bathroom also clean and easy to use. They even have hot and cold water. There's a lot of foreigner here, I made a friend here! The breakfast just mid, it's a normal bread and soup if you like it. They have a ton of tea option, choose yours. But please don't expect anything on this hotel, it's recommended if you're alone and come here just for sleep. See you when I see you, Jimbocho!

Sakura Hotel Jimbocho offers a very clean and comfortable stay. The room was spotless, and the shared bathrooms, toilets, and washing areas were well-maintained throughout our stay. The breakfast was a pleasant surprise considering the rate- unlimited bread with butter and jam, plus coffee, tea, and iced coffee that kept us full until mid-day. For the price, it was more than satisfying.

The hotel has a relatively low rate compared to nearby options, and the location is very convenient and accessible. Service was warm, and room cleaning was very thorough.

The only downside is that the room felt quite small for us as a tall couple, with no space to store our large luggages. Still, the cleanliness, great breakfast, and reliable service make this hotel a solid choice. Approved!

A cozy and nice place to stay. Staff are friendly and helpful. Highly recommend to budget travellers.

This is a pretty cozy hostel in Jimbocho, Tokyo. It has an attached Cafe and operates 24/7. Staying in the shared rooms, the space is adequate and clean. Only downside is having to change out your door key daily. Towels and other amenities are available to rent for a cheap price and each bedspace comes with its own light and Japanese outlet (outlet is at the top of the space so make sure your plug or adapter can hold itself in the socket upside down). Comparatively close to Tokyo station where you can get to nearly anywhere in Japan. The main staff are fluent in English and other languages and won't give you a side eye if you come in jetlagged after a long flight and come off as probably a bit rude as I did. Definitely a recommendation I would give others if they're looking for a budget place to rest their head in Tokyo.

I stayed at the Jimbocho Sakura Hotel for 3 weeks. It was one of the best hotel experiences I've had in Japan. Always had a fresh yukata on my bed, my room was comfortable and the air conditioner worked wonders after coming in from the summer heat. The bathrooms/shower space was always clean. Overall I had a great experience at this hotel.

I loved my stay at the Sakura Hotel Jimbocho, the receptionists are smiling, pleasant and attentive, the decor with all these flags and all these photos illustrate a healthy, international and friendly, I met Lithuanians, passionate French by Japan like me, a Belgian and an Egyptian, these people have become my friends. The food offered is very good, diverse and reasonably priced. I particularly liked the hot chocolate, I have also taken several times. The rooms, although some are small, are comfortable, very well maintained and provide Yukatas allowing us a more immersive stay. Geographically, the hotel is located in a quiet little street that allows us to relax out of the noise of the city. At the entrance, we can see plenty of books and maps showing us activities and ideas of places to visit in Tokyo. This stay at Sakura Hotel Jimbocho has helped to strengthen my interest in Japan, which is my favorite country and if I have the opportunity, I will return.
