Shibuya Hotel En in Tokyo

The Shibuya EN Hotel was one of the cheaper options near Shibuya Station, costing around 100,000 KRW, whereas most other hotels in the area were in the 200,000-300,000 KRW range.

• Conclusion:
I wouldn't stay here again. It was simply too small and humid. For the quality, I felt it was overpriced even at 100,000 KRW.

• Reasons:
(1) I had requested a room close to the elevator, but it was *right next* to it – literally, the door opened directly to the elevator. When I asked to move rooms, I was told there would be an additional charge. I assume I was given the smallest and cheapest room available.

(2) The room was incredibly cramped when I first entered. While I know Japanese hotel rooms can be small, this was by far the smallest I've ever experienced in Japan, even compared to other places in a similar price range. It would feel claustrophobic for one person, let alone two. With two people and two suitcases, it was virtually impossible to move. It felt more like a typical, tiny Japanese motel. Given its proximity to the elevator, I even wondered if it used to be a storage room.

(3) To illustrate how small it was: if you unfolded a suitcase, it was difficult to enter or exit the room without literally squeezing past it.

(4) The air conditioning vent looked old and dirty, with visible mold. It made me feel very uncomfortable and unclean. I only noticed this after half a day, once we had already settled in, so I didn't feel I could ask to change rooms.

(5) There was also a large mirror by the bed that felt grimy.

Perhaps I just had a personal aversion to this particular hotel... *However*, the fact remains that it was humid, visibly moldy, and incredibly small.
