Sheraton Miyako Hotel Tokyo is one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at in Tokyo. The room was spacious and spotless, and the staff were welcoming and kind. I truly enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend it.

The closest metro station is Shirokanedai Station, which is about a 10-minute walk from the hotel. It’s not the most convenient location, but the area is very quiet compared to hotels in more central districts. The hotel also offers a shuttle bus service, making it easy to access Meguro Station.

The breakfast was delicious, though the selection was somewhat limited. It mainly featured traditional Japanese and Western options. I stayed for four nights, and the menu was almost the same every day.

As for the gym, it was clearly well maintained, but the equipment selection was limited

Tge hotel is absolutely fine. However the room a little dated but think there is a programme of works so rooms may be brought up to date. Eg. The room lighting is very dim so with all brown/beige walls and carpet makes for a very dim room. the toilet is way too big for the size of bathroom! The shuttle bus was a well used amenity to get to the station.

Must walk up stairs from subway stations, but you may book the (paid) shuttle bus to/ from the airports by the concierge.

Very good bathroom - you may set the temperature/ time automatically for bathroom.

Very good buffet breakfast!

Limited gym workout and swimming pool facilities.

Gym - small, extremely dated gym room. It is NOT 24 hours (despite what is listed on the website). The gym room is only open until 9pm (last entry 8pm). See attached video - gym room contains two benches (heaviest weights 20kg), 1 shoulder, 1 chest, 1 back, and 2 leg machines.

After 8pm, you have access only to a cardio section (treadmills and exercise bikes). But the hotel staff has to open the shutters for you - up to 15 minute waiting time. See attached video for the cardio section.

Swimming pool requires an extra charge even for guests. 1,500 Yen for Titanium/Platinum Bonvoy, 2,500 Yen for Gold/Silver Bonvoy, 3,000 Yen for non-Marriott. Limited evening hours as well.

The misrepresentation and nickel and diming for the workout facilities is frankly shocking for a property using the Marriott Sheraton brand name.

The hotel isn't right next to a subway station, but the shuttle bus service is super convenient, running every 15 minutes to and from Meguro Station. It pretty much covers all your transportation needs. It wasn't until after we checked out that we realized they'd upgraded our room type! It was definitely bigger, and we could easily spread out three 28-inch suitcases, which was really handy. The only downside was that the facilities felt a bit old. Even though it had been renovated, there was still an unpleasant smell from the sink drain in the bathroom.

The room looked pretty good and was quite spacious. They even had a big Christmas tree during Christmas, which created a lovely atmosphere. The view from the window during the day was excellent. The shuttle bus to Meguro and Shinagawa subway stations was very convenient.

One staff member was very polite and even helped me carry my luggage to wait for my Uber when I checked out. However, there were one or two others who were quite indifferent. Overall, it was decent, but the subway is quite far and inconvenient, requiring an uphill walk.
