Capsule Hotel Anshin Oyado Tokyo Shimbashi in Tokyo

Easy, convenient, and safe. It was my first time staying at a women's only hotel. Keep in mind everyone is very comfortable with being naked, the showers are completely open in a large room. I was a little shy so I did use their private shower, they only have 1 so if it is occupied you will have to shower with everyone else. The room where you sleep can get very loud. The pods aren't soundproof. At one point I heard someone wake up at 3am, and that threw off my sleep. Lockers and showers are on different floors, which was very inconvenient especially because the elevator was extremely slow and only fits about 4 people.
It was cheap to stay here and safe, that is what is important so because of that I would stay here again.

My group of six only stayed one night before our flight home from Tokyo. The check in process was simple and we were given a brief of the facilities.

Things that are important to note (as mentioned in other reviews):
- the lockers, rooms, showers, and lounge are all on separate floors which can became inconvenient due to the single elevator
- there is only ONE private shower but I did not have to wait either time I used it; there might a line during night between 9:30-11
- the beds are comfortable compared my other stays, but the pods can get extremely warm and stuffy which made it very hard to sleep comfortably
- you will hear EVERY sound on the dorm floors. I was in one of the pod’s furthest from the door and could hear any and every sound; not ideal for light sleepers
- I didn’t find it to be a very social setting, it was quiet and everyone pretty much kept to themselves

This is definitely a nicer hostel style arrangement and the age range was on the older side. The common areas are kept clean.

Based on the experience I shared above, I felt they deserved three or four stars. However at check out, the staff (Specifically Rita) seemed to be annoyed by any questions and comments we made. The conversation was constantly met with huffing and puffing and eye rolls. I could not believe how blatantly rude she was. We went to get food before check out and came back a few minutes later after 12. It’s noted that we are able to enjoy the 9th floor until 3p so we asked if we could go up and again, she rolled her eyes and started making comments to the other staff. If you are not willing to provide friendly customer service, you should not work the front desk of a hotel. Unfortunately because of our final encounter, I was left with a poor taste in my mouth and would not return or recommend this facility.
