Interesting Japanese onsen experience. For western travellers is a nice way to get insight in traditional onsen culture. Food was so interesting at the restaurant downstairs. Recommend for anyone wanting onsen bath experience, peaceful stay by the water, great views. Really enjoyed cycling around the island using the hotel bikes.
Dinner was awesome, view was nice with quiet streets. Onsen is available but definitely not as nice as the others we had been to.
We had a trafitional.Japenese room. Fantastic view of the bay. Hotel dated but clean
Reservations needed for dinner. We didnt dine there .
Easy to catch the ferry
Very nice hotel with an ocean view! Attached natural onsen, and great breakfast.

Well. You can definitely find a better place to go with way less money. Small room and dirty AC and smelly. Private bath is okay but way too small and not clean and meal is okay but could be better. I won’t recommend this place to anybody. Go to a hotel instead.
Awesome service as expected from a Japanese Ryokan.
There was a lot of food and it was delicious. The sake was great as well with a fruity flavor.
To take a shower you do need to use the familiar public onsen once available but still a great experience
The public bath for day trips is 500 yen. 11:00-16:00 Shampoo and conditioner available. Towels can be borrowed for free. A hair dryer is also provided. Family bath is 2000 yen.
The large public bath has an open air outside, but it was a little lukewarm and it would have been nice if it was a little warmer like the indoor bath. This is where it gets a little sad.
Both the dressing room and the bathroom...
Stayed one night.
The word of mouth said that only 3 out of 5 baths could be used.
When I went there, all five family baths were ready to use.
When I arrived at the inn, there was no one at the front desk.
It felt like someone would come out after pressing a button.
There are 5 hot springs, and the baths with the lights on are used, so the system was such that the ones with the lights off could be...
This was only the third Ryokan we've ever been to, and it stood out to be the best in terms of comfort and value! Great service; great food; good location (not as secluded as other ryokans, but very accessible).

It's a great place if you want quietness. Great place beside the sea. It's great to hear the sound of waves. The place is located a little bit far from the places of interest. No worries if you have a car. It's a great stay and the breakfast is nice.
The sea view unit is blocked by a tree on the left, what a pity
I stayed at Lue, which wasn't a bad experience, but there wasn't much to do at the hotel.
Breakfast was simple but satisfying.
I don't know if I'd go back, but it's in a great location.
🕰️Opening Hours:
3pm check-in 11am check out
No employees were at the reception from 2am to 5am
🏖️ Environment/Facilities:
Sea view 401 room, but the front has been covered by trees, only see little sea view, the indoor place is spacious and clean and comfortable, but the air conditioning 18°C is not cold
There is free parking
Paid washer dryer
You can buy their fireworks for ¥770
When you leave the hotel, it's like a private beach. The view is amazing. However, the facilities are not that great. The toilet doesn't have a washlet. The shower is the type that sprays water. The pressure is weak and it doesn't feel like you're washing properly. On top of that, the curtain in the unit bath was broken and came off. Nice staff, great location, clean rooms
Generally good to live, one demerit is the bed is too soft
The advantages are that it's very close to Sasebo Train Station, about 300 meters away, and 200 meters from the bus terminal and bus hub. There's also a laundry room, surprisingly on the rooftop. It's also convenient for dining and shopping near the port.
The disadvantages are that the room was incredibly small and had a musty smell. The air conditioning at the front desk was turned up high, but not...
I should have eaten breakfast elsewhere. I asked for a raw egg to be fired for a child, but I was refused because I wasn't in charge of making it. A microwave oven can be used at least freely.
It was said that there is a parking lot, but it is a style that parks in front of the hotel, deposits the key at the front desk, and the hotel side enters the parking lot in order according to the next sunrise...
There is a pay parking lot, but there are few cars, the hotel staff parks in front of the hotel and moves.
You can dine at the restaurant on the 2nd floor, and COSPA is normal.
Free breakfast is bread and coffee is self.
Others will be offered at the Imperial Palace.

We stayed with three generations.
The building itself felt old, but it was kept clean and well-maintained overall, and there was no unpleasant impression whatsoever. The portions were huge, and not only the seafood but also the meat was delicious. The only downside...
As other reviewers have said, you'll be more than satisfied with the service, food, and large public baths, all of which exceed the price.
Although the wallpaper in some inconspicuous areas of the guest rooms is damaged, the tatami mats have been replaced and the bathrooms are clean.
The room was also very spacious and luxurious.

Not bad, close to the sea, you can fish at high tide, the room is small
Although the facilities are a little old, I could tell they were making an effort to provide the food. The food was so good I couldn't finish it. It was delicious.

Parking is convenient and enough.
I book the Japanese-Style Standard Room · 1 Room - It said just this

By chance, I visited when the annual pottery exhibition was being held. The venue was about a 3-minute walk from the hotel, so I dropped in and had a great time.

We stayed at Aqua Garden Hotel Fukumaru for our school trip!
We stayed in room 408, which was a Japanese-style room!
Sakurajima couldn't be seen from our room, but it looked so beautiful when we went outside🌸🏝
We had a wonderful stay at the Aqua! The staff and owner were incredibly kind and helpful and the tatami room was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed one of the best made Japanese/western breakfasts ever at the hotel’s restaurant. We hope to return soon.
Good location with magnificent view of Sukurajima. That lady attended to us is super helpful. Highly recommended if you are there. Me lucky to be here.
I felt it was an old inn. The taps made annoying noises and the indoor slippers were not new. However, the staff were very friendly. Breakfast was delicious and parking was cheap. It would have been even better if there were bottled water in the rooms.
The staff was very kind.

The place is large and the scenery is beautiful. The facilities are decent, and it has some history.
Wonderful view over the valley, this spacious room offers a private onsen. Completely with tatami mats and comfortable beds it’s a very relaxing stopover fur the pretty town of Yulfuin. It’s not the easiest of places to find, tucked away at the end of a small windy road outside of town. There are no eateries nearby, so as the restaurant was closed, we had to stock up on food from the supermarket....

I had an amazing time at Ryokan Yufuin Tsubaki. I booked the half-board stay at Tsubaki using ******* and the staff at Tsubaki was in contact with me almost immediately to confirm the details and finalize the pick up time from Yufuin Station. It's a very old inn and the interior hasn't been renovated, but it still seemed to be well cleaned and maintained.
My plan included dinner and breakfast, and there was a wide variety of buffet items, so I was very satisfied.
It was summer vacation, so there were a lot of children there, and I could hear footsteps from upstairs until late at night, which made it difficult to sleep, which was a bit disappointing
This hotel had a spacious room for three people and outstanding guests door and outdoor onsen bathes. I highly recommend this hotel. We plan to stay there on our next trip.
Very good room, big hot spring, next time you can come here with your family and come to climb the mountain
We had a triple-person room, but the Japanese-style futon was very hard and the bed springs were hard too! The toilet was tiny!
The building was old, but it had been renovated properly, which was nice. The bath and washroom in the room were still the same as they were in the Showa era, which was nice in its own way.
The hot spring was spacious, with white hot spring water, and the view from the balcony was amazing.
Quality hotel - 20 mins drive from Ebino Plateau
Good base for exploring area. Rooms are huge with great views. Kaseki dining in-room was excellent. Large indoor and small outdoor onsen provided variety. Helpful staff given we were probably the only non-Japanese staying there.

Their service is excellent as they assign a staff to follow through your stay there. She will manage your meal and room cleaning schedule and bowed to bye you when your leave. There is sand bath at ¥1500.
The hospitality upon arriving at the inn was great, and the food was absolutely delicious!
I was very satisfied with the delicious meals I was able to eat both in the evening and in the morning!
The sand bath was also just a 3-minute walk away!
I was very grateful that they were able to accommodate my last-minute request about my child's likes and dislikes.
The service staff were also highly skilled, making for a very comfortable stay. (Thank you, Kazuko ❤️)
However, while this is understandable given the size and location of the inn, I was disappointed that the open-air bath only offered a view of the sky.

The place is a bit remoted. You need to perform self check in.
Great value for money during the off-season. The room was a partial sea view. It's inconvenient if you don't have a car.
The room looked clean, but when I walked over to the tatami area, I was surprised to see hair, sand, and dust all over the floor. After a closer look, I could only describe how dusty, sandy, and hairy it was! I couldn't believe it... I even wiped the floor and dusted the pillows before I could finally rest. I wouldn't stay here again.
There were plenty of parking spaces. Check-in was self-service, and the people ahead of us usually took about ten minutes to check in. We waited for half an hour before it was our turn. The terrace didn't have flooring, which was a bit shabby. The room was fairly clean.
