This small apartment has only seven rooms. The owner owns the adjacent hot pot restaurant, and the hotel apartment is run as a side project. The staff are all part-time employees of the hot pot restaurant, so the expectations aren't as high as those of a professional hotel. Cleanliness is acceptable, though there's a slight smell of barbecue smoke every night. Room linens aren't replaced very promptly, but they'll provide anything they need if you ask for it. The value for money is quite good. When I visited, the Almaty Music Festival and the tennis tournament were both taking place, and hotel rates were high, so at this price, I didn't have to be picky. The staff at the hot pot restaurant were also very helpful. Talking with them about places to go and eat provided lots of great recommendations.
