The surrounding scenery changes with the seasons. The Almaty Hotel is conveniently located, clean, and has a great environment. From the room's balcony, you can see the snow-capped mountains 🏔, and waking up to that view feels wonderful and very relaxing. The breakfast is also good.

Our 2 nights stay in this hotel is pretty good, location is also very convenient. Just 5mins walk to a 24hrs supermarket, Almaly subway Pubs and some eatery like Rumi which is their popular local food chain. Rooms are comfortable, toilet is clean n new, breakfasts is pretty good. Just a bit disappointed because i stated during my booking that it is my wedding anniversary trip, so usually Hotels will arrange something for us but this hotel totally ignored my request, not even any wishes from the hotel. By far the first we experienced with no arrangements. Their lobby is also quite dim, not well lighted n not so lively. Overall still not a bad stay

I loved the room with a view of the snowy mountains! I could lie in bed and watch the sunrise and sunset over the mountains. The breakfast was also excellent.

The environment is great, I'm very satisfied! It's comfortable and has a balcony. This was my first time staying at your hotel, and the experience far exceeded my expectations! The front desk service was warm and efficient, the room was clean and spacious, and the bedding was so comfortable it felt like sleeping on clouds. The breakfast offered a rich variety of choices, and despite being in a bustling area, it was incredibly quiet. You can see the thoughtful touches everywhere. Whether for business or leisure, this is an excellent choice. I will definitely be back!

It is a shame that the hotel service was excellent until my last day. I explain.
I found out that I had mistakenly booked one less night at the hotel when I received this WhatsApp text message from the hotel
"Good afternoon! I'm calling from the Almaty Hotel.
We would like to clarify about your check-out! Your room is booked until 25.11.2025 until 12:00.
I want to inform you that if you don't contact us by 14:00, we will be forced to collect your belongings and remove them from your room. We will store them at the reception. Please let us know if you plan to extend your stay or check out."
The tone of the message was rude and unprofessional.
Worse, when my partner called the hotel and spoke to them in Russian, the receptionist on duty at 12.15PM local time on 25 November 2025 rushed us to come to the hotel to make payment before 1PM. The receptionist on duty refused to allow me to pay by Trip.com or pay later - we were forced to abandon our plans and rush back to the hotel to make payment.
Granted, the mistake was mine. But that is not how a hotel guest should be treated. This would be my first and last time staying at this hotel.

A Nightmare Stay – Completely Disappointing
I booked this hotel in Almaty based on its high ratings and convenient location near Arbat Street, expecting a pleasant stay. Unfortunately, what I experienced was far from acceptable, and I feel compelled to share it.
From the moment I arrived, there was no sense of welcome or acknowledgment from the staff — as if guests were an inconvenience rather than customers. Upon entering the room, I was shocked by how outdated and poorly furnished it was. Instead of a proper living room with a comfortable sofa, there was simply a spare bed placed awkwardly in front of the TV — absolutely no thought put into comfort or design.
In the middle of a hot summer day, I found the fridge not working. After repeated calls, they finally sent a technician late at night who began repairing it inside my room — disturbing my rest and invading my privacy. There was no apology, no concern, just indifference. To make things worse, the fridge broke down again the very next morning. By then, I had lost all confidence in the service and simply gave up.
Breakfast was equally disappointing — not only in quality but in the effort it takes to reach the dining area. You must exit the main building, go around the back, climb stairs, and walk a fair distance, only to find an uninspiring and minimal selection. Not worth the hassle.
The final straw was at checkout. I was told to wait while they “checked” the room and minibar, only to be falsely accused of consuming items from a minibar that was never functioning. When I objected, the staff simply said, “It’s fine, just go.” No apology. No professionalism.
This hotel is a complete misrepresentation of what it claims to be. If you value respect, comfort, and basic hospitality — look elsewhere.

the hotel is located centrally, you can easily walk to see some things within the city also near to bus station and to panfilov area, i opt for late check out so i pay half of the room rate, and they let me check out 6pm? i paid for half rate then check out at 6pm? i talk to the receptionist that i will check out at 8pm, he said okay but they called that i cant and i will pay full amount if i didnt hurry and the way he say it that i need to be out as soon as possible he can say that in a nice way since they are working at hospitality area, if i only knew i should have check out early and not pay for half amount! its not even worth it. will stay to different hotel next time in almaty. do better next time.
