5 star hotels in Almaty

Twenty years ago the whole Rakhat was shining, today shines only elevator.

The room was clean and tidy, and although the facilities were a bit old, everything worked perfectly. The hotel also boasts a swimming pool, spa, and other amenities, and the breakfast spread was quite extensive, though it did get a bit crowded in the mornings.

I was fotunate to book the renovated room, it was surely good, the AC is the only issue as it takes time to cool the room, also faced a small issue with the plugs next to the bed, they tend to disconnect after some time and you have to remove the card and reinstert it again, the breakfast area had a good buffet and nice seating area ( indoor and outdoor ) room service sometimes take time to attend...

Location is great, within short distance from great cafes and restaurants. Hotel room is nice and clean.

The room was average. The facilities were a bit dated. Cleanliness was acceptable, and the environment was just okay. However, the service was excellent.

The location was decent, and the breakfast was simple – just enough to grab a bite. However, I'm unsure why the room wasn't cleaned for two days. The check-in process at the front desk was just average.

Had a very comfortable stay at Rixos Hotel. The breakfast was plentiful, and the environment and location were both great.

An older hotel, which is not a bad thing. Breakfasts were fantastic. Our family had a negative experience with check in, cleanliness and safety in our room, and we had to address these matters with a manager. It’s obvious they need to deal with service quality when they make mistakes and get to a point where safety and customer satisfaction are priority.

Overall hotel was very nice. The room was big and bed and covers were amazing. Everyone was very nice and friendly. It is put of town, so away from a lot of things. The breakfast was great and in room service good as well. The last evening, there were kids using hallway as playground which didnt allow to relax, but overall everything else was very good. Would stay there again.

We had a wonderful relaxing mini-break there with my family. This was our second stay at the hotel and the rooms, the food, the amenities and the service were all superb. The hotel is one of the (maybe, the?) greatest hotels in Almaty. The territory is just huge with golf courses, a big pond, lots of trees and paths to walk. Rooms are top-notch and cleaning is always high-quality. The quality of the materials in the rooms is very good. Rooms have balconies with a very nice view. A very beautiful and clean hotel with great views of Alatau mountain range. Amazing every morning when I go out to the balcony to have a look. Good breakfast and good service. Everything was perfect! The hotel is very nice, the surround area is amazing! It is clean, big, modern, all the services were perfect! A special Thank you to the restaurent manager Ms. Anel and Aruna for taking care of us during our stay!

I extended my stay for another night, and I must commend the hotel's thoughtfulness. The breakfast was quite good, but because I'm lactose intolerant, I got diarrhea after drinking milk. When I asked if the hotel had any medication, they first checked if I was allergic to it before giving me the medicine. They were very considerate and attentive.

The hotel is in a good location with spacious rooms. The level of service doesn't match the stated level. The bathroom is in terrible condition. The drain in the shower stall is clogged, and it's not fixed during cleaning. The shower faucet closes under its own weight, requiring a hand to hold it in place. You can shower in the bathtub, but the drain blocking valve is damaged, and the shutoff mechanism...

Clean hotel, but dull and dark. Services are okay.

First room was smell bad of smoke even though my booking was non smoking room . They gave me other room was good after i complained. I think hotels used to give worst room who booked through trip.com . It happened in my previous trip in Bali.

Hotels in Almaty are significantly inferior to those in China. The Ritz-Carlton's facilities are roughly equivalent to those of Atour X in China. The service is acceptable, but the breakfast is mediocre and too monotonous; it's not even in the same league as Ritz-Carlton hotels in China.

The hotel is well located. It's a decent hotel for the budget, and it's fine for a one-night stay. The service is excellent.

Our stay at Ritz-Carlton Almaty was exceptional, in fact our fav part of the city as tourists. The best part was the warm service from the staff, in particular thanks to Yekaterina (Kate), Malika, and concierge lady. Kate was welcoming and informative upon check in. The best and the most expensive hotel in Almaty. Service is perfect, staff try to help in all questions. Breakfast huge and tasty, there is everything, even common quail eggs… Rooms big and have nice views to city or mountais. Gym is very good too. Pool not big but enough good, sauna just separate in mans and womans changing rooms.

It was really old and simple. It should be an old version of Hampton by Hilton in China. So the price of more than 1,000 yuan was really not worth it. I changed it decisively the next day.

I cannot use the wifi because the signal was too weak. That was terrible. The water from the tap colored brown. It looked like not clean

This is the second hotel I stayed at in Almaty. It's definitely an old-money style hotel. The hotel is located near the Koktobe cable car, which is convenient for getting around. The breakfast selection is not extensive, but it's still quite nice. The past two days have been sunny in Almaty. It's a great start to the new year!

The location is pretty good, near lots if restaurants and metro station. Easy to get the cabs. Walking distance to the opera house and city center. The room is big and the bathroom is clean. The only weak point us the air condition which is too old to cool down.

The room is not big, which is the common situation of most hotels in Almaty. But the room facilities are good. It is not as shabby as many hotels, but magnificent. There is a large community in front of the hotel with very good greenery. You can take a walk in the evening.

I was a little skeptical at first, thinking it would be old. In the end, I booked it because of the location. Overall, I am satisfied. Generally, airline crews will choose hotels for their stay, so they won't be too bad. It's not far from the cable car station, about a 20-minute walk. Hotel is conveniently located and there is a 24-hour bar which is good to have business discussions within the hotel at any time of the day.

Nice boutique hotel, the room was large, with large bathroom, minibar. Breakfast was not impressive at all, otherwise good location and nice room.

It's a very unique hotel with well-equipped, clean, and hygienic rooms, and excellent service.

A luxurious hotel with an authentic atmosphere, excellent service, and a central location. The staff is very polite. Importantly, there's a restaurant on the ground floor where you can sample traditional Kazakh food, and most importantly, it's delicious. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to try it. I'll definitely be back.

I visited the first-floor restaurant in the hotel, which serves Kazakh cuisine. The food was clean and delicious, and I enjoyed it without any hesitation. It's a great place to bring guests. However, I wouldn't recommend it if you're not confident in your ability to prepare traditional Kazakh dishes, especially horse meat.

The hotel is very conveniently located in the heart of the city! The cable car and the Palace of the Republic are nearby. The hotel is decorated in an authentic national style; it's wonderful to experience something truly authentic! The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The cuisine deserves special praise.
