Great hotel with amazing pool, sauna and gym. Food is also good and staff are very helpful and professional. Highly recommend.

The hotel also boasts a swimming pool, spa, and other amenities, and the breakfast spread was quite extensive, though it did get a bit crowded in the mornings

The room was clean and tidy, and although the facilities were a bit old, everything worked perfectly

I was fotunate to book the renovated room, it was surely good, the AC is the only issue as it takes time to cool the room, also faced a small issue with the plugs next to the bed, they tend to disconnect after some time and you have to remove the card and reinstert it again, the breakfast area had a good buffet and nice seating area ( indoor and outdoor ) room service sometimes take time to attend...

looking forward to see the hotel in few years after their full renovation

In middle of city but very quite and feel safe here. Rooms are good...just need temperature control pool...gym is great ...sauna like it.

The room was well-appointed, and the surroundings were incredibly quiet. It's located directly opposite a park, offering lovely views. From the higher floors, you can even see breathtaking snow-capped mountains

WiFi is strong enough for remote working videocalls, works even in the garden. Club lounge on the terrace floor is kind of quiet with weird rules about alcohol, but the food is tasty

The Sunset bar behind the hotel offers tasty shisha (hookah, Kalyan). Full offer room service, also during the night hours. Friendly staff, opposite of a park

The price is relatively high, the environment is good, but the facilities in the room are a bit poor

The breakfast was pretty decent, the rice sometimes was a bit hard. The hotel has a very good location and in front there is a University with a starbucks. Also near there are coffee shops and pubs, burger king and etc

The location is perfect, the building is very iconic with strong Soviet Modernism architecture. The breakfast is amazing. The staffs are helpful. Highly recommended!

At the top of the hotel there is a restaurant where you can see the whole city. I thinn I would stay here again

Well, it's the Rixos. It's quiet ,neat , pleasant. A good Spa area. In the same Rixos Gorki Gorod -will be more abruptly .however, there is good.

First time in Almaty, and choosing this hotel really elevated my entire trip experience. First off, the front desk staff had excellent English, so communication was a breeze

Secondly, both the hot spring and breakfast far exceeded my expectations. The hotel views were also fantastic. The only downside is its slightly out-of-the-way location, which means taxi rides can be a bit long

A special shout-out to the bartender who, even though I was the only one there late at night, still made me a drink and brought me snacks. My two-day stay became even more perfect after it snowed

Been hereany times. Relatively cheap. Breakfasts are OK. Clean, the rooms are quite small, which is compensated by the balcony with wonderful views of the mountains. Ask for the room looking on the mountains.

When I asked if the hotel had any medication, they first checked if I was allergic to it before giving me the medicine. They were very considerate and attentive

There's no door lock (latch or chain), and the switch on the lock doesn't prevent hotel staff from accessing the room. Waking up to a service representative walking around the room is a real experience

I encountered this after the first night, and I've since put up a "do not disturb" sign. If your room isn't cleaned in the morning, for any reason, it won't be cleaned that day without your reminder

The valve is difficult to remove, but it can be done. The faucet in the bathtub has no pressure, allowing for a good body wash, but washing your hair is extremely difficult

Breakfast was a little crowded and understaffed (some empty breakfast options and lots of dirty plates etc), so I recommend going to breakfast earlier. However, this didn't affect my stay, and I would stay here again

Excellent breakfast and very good modern rooms and fancy bathroom but very unusual reception which is located on 30th floor and if you are on 25th floor and wants to leave the hotel you need to go to 30th , chsnge lifts and then go down Great value for money

Our stay at Ritz-Carlton Almaty was exceptional, in fact our fav part of the city as tourists. The best part was the warm service from the staff, in particular thanks to Yekaterina (Kate), Malika, and concierge lady

The Ibis Almaty is fantastic value for money, making it an excellent choice for business travelers! Its location is super convenient, just a few minutes' drive from landmarks like the Ascension Cathedral, and about a 30-minute taxi ride to the airport

This was our last stop hotel from the 5 Stans tour with Lupine Travel. This hotel is very spacious, Soviet like atmosphere with dark hardwood furniture. Water stations on every floor which was nice

WiFi is weird, go through the front desk. Don’t worry about taxi to the airport as they will order it for you 10 mins before departure. Walking distance to eating places

The lobby and lounges on each floor have their own design and again have that old sovjet touch to it. Next to its history the location is definitely the best part of the hotel

Old Sovjet hotel with lots of history within its walls. It has definitely seen better days but its a cool hotel to stay in, although it seems to be a little empty

It was -16 degrees Celsius outside, but the room was only 15 degrees and there was no underfloor heating. They eventually provided a heater, but I still couldn't sleep well at night

On the 14th floor in this place is a great meeting hall. This room hosts many conferences. Good ventilation, a high-speed Elevator, the scene in the hall.

It clearly states check-in is after 2 PM, but they forced me to pay for an extra night because I arrived at 12 AM. What's the point? It feels like a scam. And then they demand check-out by 12 PM

The hotel is in a good location, room is clean abit smaller than when i stayed in holiday inn express but still able to put 2 luggages in the room. The breakfast spread is very good. Plenty of food to keep you full

I was in in Oct 2025, it was only half full when i went for breakfast (i stayed for 2 nights). Breakfast is served 7am to 10am. Just be smart about the timing if you feel the hotel is full

The dining area is abit small but there is still enough tables to serve at least 30 people. I think others who complaint about this probbaly came during summer or peak season

Also i took picture of the aircond because someone else also mentioned, the aircond light is bright which is true. And we could not switch it off since it was not the original remote controller
