The location is very good, and although the property isn’t new, it’s well maintained. The restaurant does an excellent job, the food is good, brought quickly.
Service throughout the hotel is also pretty good — reception, bellmen, and waiters are all professional, polite, and well trained.

But the SPA completely ruins the experience.
Given the limited space, clear rules and supervision are an absolute MUST, yet there’s none. Guests behave with zero manners: grown men jumping into the pool with a run up, kids screaming endlessly. It’s impossible to relax. This is supposed to be a SPA, not a water park!!

The towels are old and worn out, which doesn’t fit the overall level of the hotel.

Beautiful property superbly maintained. Lots of activities. Plenty of open spaces for kids to play. Family friendly. Hotel rooms sizable, option for various sized cottages. Staff were ALL very personable and professional.

Our stay at Samal Resort & Spa was very enjoyable. The staff were friendly and helpful, creating a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere throughout our visit. The location is excellent—close to Medeu and ideal for long walks among apple and berry trees. The mountain views from the room were stunning and added to the experience.

The food was another highlight. Breakfast offered a wide variety of delicious choices, and the lamb kebab at dinner was particularly memorable—flavorful and well-prepared. The restaurant staff were kind, generous, and attentive, which made dining there a real pleasure.

On the downside, the bathtub in our room didn’t work properly as water kept draining out even when closed, and the charging points were placed inconveniently. These were minor issues and didn’t affect the overall experience.

Samal Resort & Spa is a lovely place to relax, enjoy good food, and take in the beautiful surroundings.

The room itself was fine and comfortable, and the doorman, Kenny was very kind he made an effort to chat with us and gave us a warm welcome.

However, the service at the reception was disappointing. When we asked for help with parking (which was unavailable because of a wedding at the hotel), the receptionist did not make any effort to assist us or provide an alternative. Instead, we were simply told to use an app, and we felt ignored rather than supported.

As paying guests, we expected more hospitality and willingness to help. This really affected our experience of the hotel.
