The owner is very welcoming, and they're Chinese, so they offer Chinese breakfast every day. The hotel environment is clean and hygienic.

A perfect place to stay in Almaty. Location is not far from many landmark such as the cathedral, green bazaar, and Kok Tobe. Rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the shared bathrooms were also good. The owner was very helpful in letting us park there and giving us help and suggestions. Would stay here again!

The location is superb! The guesthouse's breakfast was perfectly suited to my Chinese palate, and compared to lunch and dinner, it was the most enjoyable meal. The room was even cleaner than the pictures! The bedding was incredibly soft, ensuring a wonderful night's sleep. The bathroom was spotless with a great wet/dry separation design. You can really tell how much effort the owner put into the details. The host was incredibly friendly! They sent detailed check-in instructions in advance and proactively recommended local delicacies and routes to avoid the crowds, which truly made the entire experience perfect! Outstanding value for money! It's incredible to find such a comfortable guesthouse at this price point. I'll definitely be back!

The hotel boasts an excellent location, with all city attractions within easy walking distance. The rooms were spotlessly clean. For breakfast, the owner personally prepared delicious, piping hot congee, eggs, and steamed buns. The owner was exceptionally kind and helpful. As I didn't have a local SIM card and couldn't book a taxi, they kindly helped me call one each time, which I paid for myself. This was incredibly convenient. The only slight drawback was that the entrance was a bit tricky to find, with Google Maps showing the location off by a few meters. I recommend checking Picture 4 for a photo of the main gate, or simply adding the owner on WeChat for immediate contact.

Honestly, I have no idea how Ctrip vets their listings these days. This is clearly a guesthouse, but it's advertised as a hotel. There's not even a proper sign out front. Having to leave shoes outside the door to enter the living room was extremely inconvenient. The soundproofing in the individual rooms is terrible; you can hear every little noise from outside. The toilets and showers are communal. The shared bathroom had previous guests' hair, leading to slow drainage. You have to get dressed just to go to the shared bathroom from your room. Also, there were no large-sized slippers available. Breakfast, served in the living room, was a very basic affair: just a few tea eggs, plain congee, and steamed vegetarian buns. I'm sure most people, like myself, booked this place based on its high ratings, but I honestly cannot fathom how it achieved them.

The host was incredibly warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home even though we were far from home. The guesthouse has a kitchen, which is perfect for cooking your own meals after picking up fresh ingredients from The Green Bazaar or the large Magnum supermarket. They even have a full stock of Chinese seasonings, which was a huge plus! The guesthouse also boasts a spacious courtyard out front, a perfect spot to relax and cool off on a hot summer day. Looking out the window, you can enjoy views of the local residents' gardens and vegetable patches, giving you a real feel for the local lifestyle.
