Although several people appear to have complained about the food etc, my wife and I have just had a pleasant weeks stay here. It's a bit dated and basic but the staff were lovely and worked hard. Nothing appeared to be too much for them. The area lacks a bit and is a bit grubby but this is more down to tourists just throwing litter on the floor. Not as bad as some of the reviews, I read, our room, overlooking the pool was lovely, brand new mattresses and pillows. Bathroom was very clean, hairdryer didn't work. Towels and bedding changed every couple of days, which I'm sure is enough! Food not brilliant but found some thing to eat each day. Lunch was better than dinner. Staff very nice, so no complaints really, get what you pay for!

Calm place, not much noise around. Around 15 minutes away from town center and seaside. View could be nicer - some rubble and a little bit rundown houses. Rooms are quite clean and not too small. Staff is very kind and helpful! Meals are very tasty.

It's a quiet place from the party sea-side. Beautiful and great kitchen provides local dishes on any day of the week, they made me ask for recipes and ingredients and the chef shared them. Walking distance from both city centers ensures you enjoy a night out without the noisy tourist areas. A bus stop or two farther away there is a fascinating aquarium worth every minute spent there.

This hotel is located in the Paceville area, so it attracts a lot of young people looking to party. This means they can be a bit noisy at times. The hotel has a rooftop pool. Our flight was very early, and we asked if they could prepare a breakfast to go for us, which they did. They were very kind and accommodating.

The hotel is well-located, close to the sea and approximately a 4-minute walk to the beach. The room was only partially cleaned, and toiletries were completely missing. I requested face towels at the front desk, but they were never provided.

Excellent location, very friendly staff.The single room had no natural light , so is like a cave .It does say on web site, it has no window, but the reality was very claustrophobic. I only stayed the one night , so just used the room to sleep in.

Amazing location and friendly staff. The room is small but comfortable. It’s an old hotel that feels run down. The rooms feel dated and tired and the place has seen better days but it’s comfortable for a short stay. The main issue is the thin walls. You can hear everything from next door and the halls so definitely don’t stay here if you’re a light sleeper.

The condition of the rooms arent the best as in it doesnt look the cleanest but perhaps it is because the hotel is quite old/outdated, but it definitely does the job when you need a place to rest. The location is really great and the staff are super nice and helpful!

Overall very good experience. The room was much more than I expected for the price and it was very comfortable. The location is great, since the hotel looks towards the sea which is so pretty. Maybe the only downsides was that at times the breakfast area as well as the elevator were a bit crowded, but other than that all was perfect.

Staying here is like stepping back in time. Boutique hotel located in a former bastion where the rooms are large and well appointed. Staff was engaged and friendly. Location is superior for exploring Bormla. Ferry to Valletta was so easy to get to just a 5 minute walk. We will stay here again.

Warm welcome and fast check in. The room was ready even though we arrived several hours early. Fabulous large room, spotlessly clean. I’m had a single room with balcony and sea view booked.  The location was great - Valetta a bus journey away as was Mdina and Rabat.  Bus service is excellent. The room was adequate for me.  However the noise from the road and downstairs bar was not good.  Glass doors ineffective for noise screening.had to buy earplugs.  Also the cleaning was sporadic and I had to ask everyday for my room to be cleaned...

Brilliant location close to amenities and beautiful views.

The hotel doesn't look like in the photos. All pictures should be updated. Rooms are very, very old stylish, should renovated.  Furniture should be replaced. The hotel is really good located, however if you don't have the most expensive rooms you don't have any view. Food was good however the same every day. It was more like English Breakfast.

I recehad the good fortune to stay at the Alexandra hotel in St Julians Malta. The bedroom was lovely and clean and the buffet breakfast was ideal for the low cost stay. The rooms were ok for a 3 star hotel. The pool and sauna were working, the pool is small for the number of guests, but again, the hotel has 3 stars. The view from the roof of the hotel is phenomenal. They take a deposit of 150e so be prepared for that. We did not see anywhere on the website that it says about a deposit. The staff is ok, they change towels every day.
