At least the closet had a lock and key. Otherwise, sure, the furniture is second-hand, but, the cleaning staff do a dilligent job, everything worked, the pool was well maintained, and management was friendly

The room is huge and has all the facilities for cooking, if you want to dine inside, and it had a lovely patio with pool view where you can chill out. Breakfast was nothing special but anyway was good and did its job

I don’t usually make reviews but i have to because this accommodation was absolutely amazing, everything was perfect and there were no problems at all, the house keeping services were fantastic and everything was comfortable/clean

Best 2 stars hotel I ever visited, Super good location near to the beach and restaurants everything you need, the owner Ms Ruth are so kind to let us stay 3hrs more without charge when the room is still available because our flight is in late night; housekeeper Ms Emilie is very professional cleaner, always does proper job and provide all necessary toiletries without asking, very organised

A supermarket can be reached by taxi for 300 MUR (London Way in Maheboug) Great thanks to Mary Ann and especially to Natasha our Houese keeper who kept everything perfectly clean. Hopefully we will come again :-)

Wonderful beach directly in front of the house. Great corals!!! Very nice and quite Area. A lot of space in the house nur equipement did not always Work...no problem, nice Restaurant close by...

Very clean rooms and direct beach access (private beach). It was the finest beach around there and we’ve been all over Mauritius. Breakfast on request(?), but wasn’t offered. Awesome place!

We were transferred from the airport in the morning and Mary Ann gave us a really nice welcome and showed us the apartment which was amazing. As described and in the pictures

It was quite and private and not far away from the blue bay marine park from where you can make a boat trip e. g to ile au cerfs or go snorkelling

(Only sharp knives were missing or I could not find them ;-) ) The beach was beautiful and could be reached by stairs from the terrace

We stayed as four adults and two kids, and the place worked perfectly. Ground-floor, a straight view over Kamal’s garden to the beach and the sea

Each bedroom had its own private bathroom, which made everything easy and comfortable for both adults and teenagers. The apartment was well-equipped, beautifully maintained, and truly felt like a home away from home

The only area that could use some improvement is cleanliness: the bedsheets and bed runner had some stains, and the pool could be better maintained. However, these were minor issues in an otherwise fabulous stay

Yes, there were some negatives, such as older kitchen equipment, but the great attitude of the staff outweighed all of that. Kavi regularly asked if we had everything

The beach in Troux Aux Biches (where La Dorade hotel is located) was awarded the title of the best beach in the world in 2011 and is truly one the most beautiful beaches in Mauritius

Located in the best part of the island, it offers spacious rooms with bathroom and a kitchenette on every floor. The owner is very friendly and takes great care of his guests

La Dorade is a great option for travellers on a budget who want to experience the real local atmosphere of Mauritius and meet up with travellers from all around the world

this place is awesome, cheap, quiet and clean. good if you have own transportation, although the bus station is accross the road. cool owner as well.

The place could be a bit cleaner and needs a few things fixed, but you get a large double room with an en suite bathroom for £18 and the owner Krishna is friendly and helpful

There are also nice places to eat nearby and buses going to and from Port Louis (no 20, 31 rupees, one hour journey)

Overall, our stay was pleasant. The staff were very friendly & cooperative. The WiFi connection was a little sketchy at times. The rooms only have 1 for each person, the the extras were provided when requested

I would recommend the Palms as a suitable urban hotel

I rented the location for a workshop. The service was great we had a coffee break and lunch break. The quality of the food was good for a good price

On the plus side: the staff are excellent and helpful, from front desk to restaurant. Lovely view from the top floor restaurant, especially at sunset. The rooms are fine and spacious, and air conditioned

The location is very good and relatively clean, but the parking lot is difficult to drive into

On the negatrive sides: no fridge, which I thought in a tropical environment was a pity. My room was also very noisy with street traffic sounds, despite being on the 8th floor, which disrupted sleep

Cleaning and towel/linen change was daily and was done to a very good standard. The pool was beatifully tiled, but was probably too small for seious swimming. Fom the terrace it was a few steps down to the beach

it is a nice hotel with a good price-quality ratio. Situated right at the beach, but it has a very nice pool as well

I especially liked that the receptionist has asked for our passport copies in advance and filled in all the details, so we did not have to spend time on this upon arrival. We also booked a boat trip in advance

You can have lunches and dinners in the hotel, but there are also several good restaurants within 10-15 minutes walk. Even though there is a bar and a restaurant in the hotel, it is never noisy in your room

Small hotel with super friendly staff and nice restaurant on the beach. Stayed two weeks in Mauritius. Started with 4 days in the bay and ended our stay here because we absolutely loved the place

The sea was actually a lagoon with a coral reef about 400m. Boats could be hired to take you out for snorkelling and seeing the turtles and dolphins. Ideal for families with very safe swimming

ASSOVILLA is a charming and truly authentic place. The family who manages it is extremely kind and attentive, offering excellent service at all times. The food is outstanding, and the beach is just a short walk away

And for the pool we really enjoyed it. At the end we ordered some pizza we really loved it and it was one of the best pizzas. You should really try this place

For our food there was an amazing buffet and many varieties of drinks. The staff was really kind and nice we brought some drinks from outside They offered to keep it in their fridge for us

We were there a long time before i just forgot to put a review. So to start we were on a day pass and as soon as we arrived we were welcomed with great hospitality

So no “water activities” as is the case with a beach hotel but as locals who just wanted a break from the house & routine & had a birthday to celebrate, Horisun gave us all that we wanted in beautifully landscaped grounds

This place is not a hotel, it's a warm welcoming home. Location: the place is very private and peaceful. It's a nice location to visit the whole north east coast

Roshan & Sang welcomed us warmly & then left us to our privacy. It is the low season so there was only one other couple besides us in the 15 room hotel. We were given a large room with a lake view & an outside balcony

The only “activity” within Horisun is the pool which we enjoyed

Dinner was an “extra” which we asked for & consisted of a three course set menu with Thai influences. We only stayed the one night & the next morning, took a quick drive to the beach to watch the sunrise

& because we too live in the east, when a birthday approached, I thought why not try Horisun, if only to eat some authentic Thai food. Horisun is not by the beach but as a bonus, it has an inland lake

The hotel is situated right on the Indian Ocean spectacular views. A huge walkable beach. Just be cautious of the paddlers on the beach The staff super friendly bend over backwards for you. The food is tasty

The room was clean and hygienic, and the environment was nice.

For a quick cheap bite,it is the ideal place. You can also sit comfortably within seaside view and order beer. The menu consists of rice and noodles,the Mauritian way

They also provide you with nice towels including a beach one. They even provide you with a washing machine, ironing board and an iron. Cannot fault this place at all

Ambience are really good. We took 2 bedroom villa. It's really good, two swimming pool access, washing machine, refrigerator etc..

However, the next morning the friendly staff apologized and the owner phoned us personally apologizing and informed us that the guests will be evicted immediately. They said in 5 years, this has never happened

Amazing bungalow, superbe 10 star service. Most charming, friendly and smiling staffs. They provide you with fresh baguettes every morning for breakfast and that is something that nowhere else will provide

Excellent place. I am glad i choose this place. Makes you feel at home. The house is really good with maid cleaning provided everyday. Very close to popular beaches, super markets and restaurants.

Well this is the best place to go for a nice day away the service is 💯 eat and drink asmuch as you like the best settings and best views I think k I have been around 7/8 times now always a pleasure taking my guests here guaranteed lovely day out

Amazing family escape with clear shallow waters for swimming and snorkelling especially for kids. Buffet and drinks all in were a good treat. Highly recommend the island walk and taking time facing the crushing waves.

It is really close to the amazing Blue Bay snorkeling area (circa 200 metres) and all equipment is available of you don't have your own. The service and the lunch are really where this island adventure really excels

That said, the island itself is absolutely worth visiting – perfect for a day of rest, great food, and amazing views. It’s a little slice of paradise, just not ideal for snorkeling

When we first arrived, we had not had a chance to exchange money to Mauritian Rupees, and he took 1000Rs out of his wallet and loaned it to us in case we needed some before we got to an ATM

Clean and on the right Spot! Younoos is always there to support! I have been the second time with him and can highly recommand his accomondation!

There is a bus station nearby: bus number 10 costs 30 rupees and takes you directy to the airport, but it only runs during the day, other time — taxi, which you can negotiate for around 15 euros/dollars

Room had everything I needed and was comfortable. I slept super well. The owner was also super friendly. He even woke up at like 5:30am to make sure I had coffee before my flight. Such an awesome guy.

If you have a very late check-in, this could be a problem, i do recommend to contact the owner any possible way. A very light breakfast is available. Overall, good value for money

We stayed 2 times at Younoos place and both times it was a pure pleasure. The room is clean and has everything for comfortable stay + the owners make you feel cozy and welcomed

The staff are very friendly and welcoming, they went out of their way to help us, nothing is too much trouble. We had 2 garden rooms, 114 & 115. The beach is lovely, no trouble getting sunbeds

The hotel has a lovely family atmosphere, it is quiet, a few evenings there were dancers or singers, but this suited us. There is a gym & free pool table

Beach: there is a small swimming pool, but they got their private sandy beach, with a lot of sunbeds on the beach and on the patio. No need to go and reserve a seat in the morning, like I've seen done (and hate)

The room was cleaned carefully every day and towels were changed regularly. The cleaner was extremely kind and attentive. Food was the weakest part of the stay

If you want to snorkel walk along the beach to the left for about 10 mins, incredible fish to see

The aircon really was great to have on those hot days. The kitchen that we shared with the other unit was kept clean by the staff. Enjoyed the fact that there was a tv in our room

Our family getaway at Colibri Beach House was simply fantastic! 👨‍👩‍👦‍👦 The cleanliness and spaciousness of the place made it feel like a true home away from home

They have boats on the public beach 2mine walk that could take you to the small island and boat trips, fishing ,diving

We used the sparkling swimming pool often as it was extremely hot. Loved sitting on our private balcony watching the sunrise. The unit is spacious and was equipped with everything you need

A wonderful accomodation in Trou d'Eau Douce, with a lounging spot by the pool. The host is amazing and her dogs are the sweetest!

Beautiful place with swimming pool

We had a lovely relaxed four day stay with Annalisa in her immaculate Italian styled villa. We immediately felt at home and Annalisa is a wonderful host who pays attention to every detail

La Maison Soleil is a wonderful place. The landlord is a lovely, well careing woman. The rooms are clean and lovingly furnished. The whole place and the garden is wonderful and peaceful

If visiting Mauritius, I very much recommend La Maison Soleil. All the positive reviews are indeed true. I'd ignore any review less than 4 stars. Lovely owner, place and location

If you are into lazy sunsets by the beach or in the infinity pool, delicious breakfasts and real Maurice experience then may I tempt you into trying this establishment? It's 5 minutes walk to the Pereybere Public Beach (see my comments on Pereybere)

It's lobby is open to the elements with a koi pond and kind staff, special mention for Jennifer. My room was very large, with a whirlpool and a shower, a reading nook and large double bed

The balcony overlooked the hotel's garden and pool and the sea (a little). This is where the ordered breakfast is served (in the company of all kinds of local birds)

The pool's water was crystal clear and great after a sea swim. Plenty of seats, chaise longue and loungers to take in the sun

Lunch and dinner can be found either at the food trucks, few restaurants or supermarket, all within walking distance. I didn't rent a car but I noticed parking would've been a real issue as the hotel doesn't have one

We have stayed there for our honeymoon and we absolutely enjoyed it! This Hotel only offers breakfast, but for us this was exactly what we wanted. This makes you try all the nice restaurants around the hotel :)

The B&B is in a great location and the views from the verandah where you have continental breakfast are really special. I had a swim as well and the pool was clean and of a good size

So many interesting activities. The foods were excellent The pool is an amazing place to swin I suggest that to everyone but go there in groups(because of the activities)

We had a wonderful 4 day stay here. Jean-Pierre was an amazing host, very helpful and prepared amazing breakfast for us daily. The unit is clean and in a great location. Definitely value for money.

Free parking as I had a car was an added bonus and the atmosphere at the B&B was social but not too invading of your privacy as people use the squash and tennis courts on a frequent basis

I had a lovely stay at this B&B and would definitely stay here again. Jean Pierre was so friendly and generous and made sure I had all my needs met whilst staying

The room was basic but clean and I had fresh linen everyday plus had a communal kitchen and lounge area to use
