MarSenses Rosa del Mar Hotel & Spa in Palma Nova

We arrived to our hotel yesterday afternoon. We were slightly alarmed when we checked in to find out if we wanted to use the safe in the room we had to pay a deposit and also pay a daily fee. Having paid this I then requested a bed guard for our little one. They said they had none in the entire hotel, despite being a ‘child friendly’ hotel. We then arrived at our room which was nothing like what we had booked through you. It was very dated and there were also lots of other issue’s which I will list below and enclose photos as evidence: Mould/ holes on lampshades Stains on towels Marks on walls Mould on floor and ceiling of shower We went straight to reception and were there for sometime explaining what had happened. They were reluctant to help and advised they would escalate to management but all management did was show us a second room which was of the same standard and advised we would need to complain to the holiday agent as this is their issue. (We have now done this) In the evening we found there was no iron in our room, we rang reception and they said they had non available. Later one became available but we had to go to reception to collect it, pay another deposit and were handed an iron with no ironing board! This hotel claims to be helping the environment by only cleaning rooms and pool towels every other day, however I am yet to find a fresh water re fill station so we are now going to have to go out and buy a tonne of bottled water to see us through our ten day stay! We have noticed a similar complaint has been raised via Tripadvisor so this is not the first time this has happened.
