Hotel Playas de Paguera in Peguera

Customer orientation is zero. They only want to earn money, and have no idea what humanity and empathy ist. They don`t give any **** about the guests. Our flight was cancelled, and since all our trip was only 2 days, we had no other choice except of cancelling the journey at all. First of all, it was completely impossible to reach the hotel (it was not in the middle of the nicht, only around7 pm). Second - nobody even tried to contakct us, as we didn`t show up, and ask, if we will come or not. Guests didn`t arrive? Pff who cares, we have the payment already - that`s the only this that matters. Third - they refused to give the money back. 320 for 2 nights ist a lot of money.

The hotel boasts an excellent location, being close to both the beach and the town center. The beds were comfortable, and the breakfast was adequate, though nothing special.

Unfortunately, the rest of the experience was less than satisfactory. The atmosphere at breakfast was unpleasant, with staff appearing grumpy and unresponsive to greetings or smiles, even when attempted in Spanish. The cleaning lady was the only friendly staff member we encountered. Upon our evening arrival, we were greeted by someone from the pub who handed us our key cards with minimal interaction, creating an unwelcoming impression and suggesting it might not be a pleasant place to work despite our efforts to be friendly.

Upon departure, we were informed that breakfast had to be paid in cash due to a supposed issue with the card system, which felt suspicious and unprofessional. I dont like to be part of tax-games, further contributing to the impersonal and purely transactional nature of our stay. We understand that mass tourism can sometimes lead to a lack of personal touch, but it is disappointing when guests feel like just another source of revenue rather than valued customers.

I would recommend seeking accommodations with a more personal approach. Despite the less-than-ideal hotel experience, we had a wonderful time in Mallorca, enjoying activities like kayaking and snorkeling along the rocky shores, as well as indulging in delicious dinners.

We paid to upgrade our room to include a coffee machine, water and fruit. None were there, went to reception and was told they do not offer that service anymore, but would put a coffee machine in our room. Coffee machine arrived, it had not been cleaned, the filter had coffee in it that was mouldy. We were given 2 bottles of water, open with paper cups. Housekeeping was awful, had a shower the first evening, used toiletries provided, they were never replaced! Arrived on Sunday sheets and towels were not changed until Friday. Furniture was never dusted, bathroom mirror not cleaned.
