Hotel for lovers of authenticity and Amateurs to discover new places: being in an exclusive part of the Mediterranean, among the rocks on the coast of Platja D'aro, the hotel welcomes its guests with warmth, comfort and special approach to every guest. Surrounded by tall trees, accessible by lift to the famous camí de Ronda that will take you to the Beach of Cap Roig. The hotel is in a perfect location near the sea. In addition, this is the right place for business meetings, seminars, workshops.

Location: on a rocky cliff above the sea, 120 km from the airport of Barcelona, 30 km from the airport of Girona, in the town of Platja Daro.

Consists of two 3-storey buildings.

The hotel has 120 rooms.

Beach: public sandy-pebble beach only 150 m from the hotel. Umbrellas, sunbeds on the beach – fee. Between the hotel and the beach is a road and promenade. The descent to the beach stairs.

The location is beautiful directly at the coast of the sea with direct access to "Cami de Ronda" and spectacular sea view. We had premium room with balcony which is to be recommended. decoration is traditional, I like it although a little bit overweight but better than too modern. Many plants and nice garden. Tables, Glass and mirrors could be cleant better. Reception is friendly but little slow for check in procedure and waiting time for short questions. On short notice our little son joined the last night that forced us to switch the room due to hotel regulation, after a discussion the hotel showed flexibility and try to comfort us. Breakfast is good, every day same but big variety. Rooms were cleaned correctly, change of bed linen every day! Super! Staff in restaurant is mainly friendly, some could definately improve. Good price-value-relation.

Mixed feelings overall but this hotel needs more staff and better trained staff. We arrived to our room and there wss a smell of urine in the toilet. We told management and in fairness they fixed it. We have lunch by the pool bar twice, service slow and unfriendly, the food was good. Pool towels are at reception so you arrive at the pool and have to go back to reception.. they ask for your room number to keep track of towels. This is fair but when their under staffed reception has a queue 20 mins long I threw towels into the basket as it seems a long wait to return. I was told off for doing this. This hotel is meant to be 4 star but it has a 2 star attitude. I would like to tell management most people have little interest in your thin beach towels. On a positive note, amazing location with stunning views, fantastic swimming spot accessible from the hotel. Rooms are nice and comfortable beds. I have previously stayed at their sister hotel Eden Roc it is a million times better. Especially their staff. I feel anything I asked it was a no before yes.. poor poor attitude overall at Cap Roig. I would not return.

Highly recommend this hotel. Was there on a solo/single trip. Instead of giving me an abandoned room like the usually do with singles travelling and only staying for one night, they gave a room with superb sea view. Also the staff at the restaurant were very kind and gave me a seaview seat. Very nice!

The hotel staff were all really friendly and gave support and information when required. You couldn't fault the staff at all. Basic additions such as a cold water tap in the lobby area, refreshments in the room (e.g. kettle, milk, cups etc) would have made the price feel more justified. The beach is directly below the hotel which is beautiful and great to be so convenient. Many other coves also very nearby. Generally, I found the hotel very expensive for what it was, compared to others in the area. The entrance was very grand and beautiful, but our room was less so, and the facilities within the hotel room were minimal and dated. The room was dark, and the view was of air conditioning units. We had to get the cleaner to come back in the room when we first arrived as there was a sticky substance all over the table in the room. The pool area was very packed, with sun loungers packed next to each other in long lines, making the whole of the pool terrace feel very overcrowded. The pool area/ restaurant would have been a nice space if it were just less crowded, with beautiful views of the sea and the cove below.

The location of the hotel is so beautiful, and the staff, are very nice, but the rooms are awful, the bed is horrible,and all night we were hearing noises from everywhere. They don't offer room service which is so weird, and the equipment is very close to 0. The water pressure is almost nothing.
They have a very limited number of parking lots, and you have to park outside of the hotel if there is a place. We literally couldn't get out, because we were afraid we could not find a place to park on our way back.
I think putting everything together, the hotel is so normal.

Very beautiful location, but far away from anything. Could be good if you are only planning to stay in the hotel.

Good restaurant, a lot of space and facilities.

Was very cozy decorations for Christmas season.

However 30 EUR/day supplementary price for the dog is a bit too much.

The view to the sea is just sublime and the whole experience was breathtaking. I had to breathe in several times to allow myself to take in all the Love and Beauty in this Hotel. The sheets and pillow were so comfortable and the bathroom so generous! Infinite gratitude for an unforgettable experience.

This review comes in two parts. Firstly the good. Staff friendly, attentive and professional. Location fabulous, easy access to beach, coastal path and short walk to town. Room comfortable and clean. Great massage at the spa. Now for the not so good; room decoration a little tired and nasty blocked drain smell in bathroom. Food more works canteen than restaurant and while yes they do have a wide choice for breakfast, the hot options were always cold! The Hamman was out of order for the stay, and the sauna not working on one occasion, and cold on another as door left open. Do staff not check regularly? At the pool bar, asked for a cointreau which tasted nothing like, when queried, was told that it was similar, not actually as advertised.

As coming to the end of season, this hotel needs a good deal of attention as certainly not 4*

Stayed here for a short break. Perfect location. Attentive staff particularly Tatiana who was a huge help after I left my medications on the plain. She went above and beyond.
Rooms are very dated but clean and functional. As is the hotel overall. Buffet breakfast and evening meal is very basic but delicious. With nice regional wine. I think probably a 3* hotel but 5* location and service.
We had a lovely stay and would probably stay again if we were in the area.

The location was very good, nice views. But the hotel is very old. Don’t be fooled by beautiful pictures online.. I truly have one of the worst vacation memories in this hotel.
