Very nice hotel!

The service is great, everyone is super friendly And everything is clean

Anna and co. at receptions and Marco, an professional italian bartender , and the guys from animation

Excellent price-quality rate

Big rooms, very suitable for families with kids / bigger families

The lobby is big , there is a lot of animation, a lot pleasant surprises , disco in the evenings:)

The food is great

Everything was really great

The only thing that would be great is a surface for kids to crawl , there is a kids club though

Would not recommend this hotel. We arrived and they made us pay extra for beverages although the kids don't drink alcohol. It's not beach front as advertised, there is another hotel in the chain on the beach, but you have to walk and cross the rail way. The kitchen is in the basement. Always long queues. The receptionist is very unfriendly.

A Child Drowned – My Mom Had to Save Him While Staff Did Nothing
Today at H Top Royal Sun in Santa Susana, a young boy drowned in the hotel pool. There were no lifeguards or trained staff anywhere nearby. My little brother saw him struggling and told my mom. A man standing close pulled him out, and my mother performed CPR to save his life. Without her, he might not have survived. The staff were completely absent and unprepared — and now they’re even claiming they “don’t know anything about the kid.”
The pool itself is tiny for the number of guests, with a sign saying only 40 people are allowed at once, which is absurd for a hotel this size.
We’re staying in room 416 — a “suite with a kitchen” where the stove doesn’t even work (apparently it’s “just decoration”) — and the A/C is wildly inconsistent, sometimes freezing, sometimes unbearably hot.
This hotel is unsafe, misleading, and totally unprepared for emergencies. Do not stay here.

Our stay was extremely disappointing and at times alarming. The most serious incident happened at the pool a child drowned, and it was my mother who had to perform CPR to save him. There were no hotel staff anywhere near the pool, no lifeguard, and no immediate help from the hotel. This is a major safety concern.

The air conditioning in our room (416) was inconsistent — sometimes it worked well, sometimes barely at all. While the suite itself had a nice layout, the stove didn’t work at all.

The pool area is far too small for the number of guests. During the day, it becomes overcrowded to the point that there is hardly any room to swim or relax.

For the high price they charge, this hotel only deserves 1–2 stars at most. Serious improvements in safety, maintenance, and facilities are urgently needed.

Overall, the hotel was nice. As a family of 5 we had booked as all inclusive. When getting to the hotel the reception staff were kind and helpful, they gave us all the information we needed. When going for drinks at the bar some you had to pay for and only the “cocktails of the day” were included as “all inclusive” which was not displayed on the website when booking. Our rooms were very clean when arriving; however, the rest of the week the cleaner did not clean/make beds (change bedding). (Which we had payed for as an all inclusive). When going down to the restaurant each day the food was the same and partly cold most of the time so in this case we had to eat out most evenings. As I have a little one that does not like to eat in crowded places we wanted to take food away. A staff member was very rude towards me when wanting to take the food out of the restaurant, he had shoved a sign into my face saying that “no food was available to take outside the restaurant” which is obviously understandable but the way he approached me and treated me was unkind and not very formal. The pool was quite small compared to the pictures and claimed there was a bar at the top near the pool which served “hot food” like pizzas etc, when going to ask for these pizzas they said it was not available at the time and was quite rude about it. Overall, it is a nice place, quite sanitary but staff are very rude and abrupt. I would not come back again due to it not being the all inclusive we expected.

Apartment hotel is quite aged , simple design and basic facilities that can accommodate the needs of a family, has little kitchen with fridge and to! Room just bed and small wardrobe, not luggage racks or other furniture. Bathroom was big enough and very simple !

But I think so appropriate for the receptionist guy who is professional and so polite to us for helping everything that we asked for , even thought checking out the timetable schedule for us when the airport bus to Barcelona airport to make sure we didn’t miss the bus!
Thank you so much George ! Caring and patient person to be there to help the customers with their need ! Well done 👍

We were a little confused on arrival as we’d been informed that the hotel was located on the beach, but hey ho it wasn’t far too walk. We had 2 suites with 3 adults in each. The guy on reception was lovely , one of the best I’ve encountered, and I’ve stayed in many hotels worldwide. I wish I’d taken his name to give him a special mention but we never saw him again. The rooms are spacious but tired. I struggled stepping over the side of the bath into the shower as there is nothing to hold onto. The sink backed up in the kitchen after rinsing a cup but was quickly sorted by the maid. There are no cups or utensils in the room so even after hiring a kettle we had to go out and purchase cups to allow us to sit and have a coffee at night or morning when the restaurant/bar was closed. There are no views , all rooms look out onto other hotels so expect music / noise until the early hours. The hotel claims to be 4 star but it’s more like a 2. We stayed all inclusive, the food was dire. Cold and insipid, the best thing we ate during our entire stay was the onion soup if you put plenty of seasoning in. Breakfast looked like it had been cooked the night before then stuck under the hot plates to warm up. Thankfully you could make your own toast. The young girl who did the entertainment at night was wasted in the hotel. She had an amazing singing voice and was so full of fun. The young waiter/ glass collector was also lovely , we had such a laugh with these 2. The bar staff looked like they couldn’t be bothered to be there. Very limited choice at the bar, which they blamed on winding down for end of season which didn’t help the 6 of us. The barman in the restaurant should have been upstairs in the bar because he was fab. The pool is tiny with very few sun beds, there is a sun terrace but as you have to go all the way from floor 7 to 0 to get a drink ( pool bar only open mid season ) we decided to go to the beach everyday. You have to book your sun loungers at the hotel before heading off. It’s only a short walk but as a train line runs through the resort you need to be able to negotiate steps in the underpass. Not very good for anyone with limited mobility. There is a free bus ( but only mid season ). We had booked breakfast on the morning of our departure due to having a diabetic in our party. Our taxi driver called to say he would be collecting us earlier than planned, I nipped to reception to ask if it would be possible just to have one croissant in order that they could take their insulin. You’d think I’d asked for the world. The receptionist Maria tried to inform me that there would be no one in the kitchens even though the restaurant opened in 30 minutes. She was rude and abrupt stating we should have booked a takeaway breakfast. As we didn’t know the taxi driver would be altering the time why would we ? I even offered to nip downstairs and grab her one myself but she wasn’t having any of it. Eventually a breakfast bag was delivered to reception before

This was our third time staying at this hotel and once again, couldn't fault it at all! The rooms are spacious and clean, there are lots of varied food options at breakfast, lunch, and dinner (we were all inclusive) - always at least one fish, meat, and vegetarian option but more often two or three, and delicious. There is a tiered all inclusive system now which they didn't have previously, we were on the 'premium' which gave us a discount on cocktails rather than fully free but it was still more than reasonable and they were all lovely. There's also the free cocktail of the day for all inclusive members as well, not sure how this works for people who are on the other board options. The entertainment was great especially for kids, and the staff were all ace! One young lady in particular was brilliant, didn't catch her name though, but she hosted the bingo and the dance parties with the kids. Two of the bar staff in particular definitely deserve a shout-out--Miguel and Isaac were amazing and we had a really good laugh with them as our days went on. As always, the rooftop pool was clean, well-maintained, and more than enough loungers for everybody to enjoy. The hotel is close to the beach as well as lots of shops, bars, and restaurants. Overall we just had a wonderful time as always! We'll definitely be back, as will our friends who came with us for the first time.

A great place in a holiday type area. We were passing by and we’re able to do a late booking. Friendly staff and good room. Just beware of music in the entire area until 11pm/midnight.

Great area for restaurants. Supermarkets and entertainment. Everything available just down the road

To be absolutely honest, I am amazed at the value for money this place offers. I have stayed in many H•Top hotels of the years, but this has been by far the best. You are fed and watered to your heart's content. The beach is quite close along with a couple of supermarkets if needed.

we bought a full board. a family of 4. it included food x3 a day and coffee/tea. be aware - IT DOESN'T INCLUDE DRINKABLE WATER. it becomes a problem for longer stays, you have to walk to the shopping mall, 20min one way, and drag heavy blocks of water for yourself, yourself! there is no water fountain in the hotel to refill your bottles, there is no shop on site and the bar only sells tiny 200ml bottles for 2 euros.
this really ruined our experience, as paying full board you expect to have drinkable water. we stayed 10 days. dragging 6x1,5L bottles every second day from the supermarket a mile away was a huge inconvenience. there is no water delivery service provided. there's just no drinkable water. except fancy and expensive glass bottles in the bar. unsustainable for long stays.
hotel ok for short stay until you get thirsty.
but do not recommend for longer stays as no free drinkable water for full board is somewhat an unexplainable misunderstanding.

We visit the hotel for over 25 years now, we have seen a lot of changes. I won't say they all are positive but for us the hotel is fine. I agree that 4* is to high back in the day the hotel was 3* but since the spa is there they get 4*...
What people wrote about unclean rooms with dust and insects ect I have never seen that. That the rooms are bit out dated i agree, but I know they are busy with planning a renovation what also is really needed!!
Location is perfect it's close to the beach and shops. Food it's okay don't expect super high standards and one day the food is in my opinion a way better then the other day ( but no complaints).
If you go 2 weeks expect the same dishes the second week, the menu won't change.
For us the price quality is perfect and we keep visiting!

At the hotel, a few people speak English, maybe one at the bar. Everyone speaks Spanish. In the restaurant, if you ask for meat to be fried, they don't know what's going on and they serve it half-raw. This is the first vacation I've ever had where I didn't have anything to eat. Breakfast was always the same for dinner, and I basically only ate vegetables because the meat wasn't edible. It tasted like toilet paper. Lunch was the same every day, and there was no choice. I bought the all-inclusive option, as always, and the bar only had vodka, beer, and cheap whiskey, some rum. I went to the bar for ice cream. I had to pay for the coffee. The coffee was terrible. There was an expresso bar where you could get better coffee, but you had to pay for it. What kind of all-inclusive is this? You have to pay 20 euros a day for sunbeds on the beach. I don't recommend this place. I've been on several vacations and there was always plenty of everything and it wasn't free, so I have a comparison.

Excellent hotel would highly recommend. Beautiful room nice view . Good food amazing breakfast . Had dinner was also very good. Loved the location. Will definitely return. Thank you to booking team and Xavier and Victor night staff that ensured easy check in and check out. Amazing stay. Thank you

This hotel is fabulous. So central to everything.
Food - where do I start. Such a selection and the freshness of it was lovely.
I’m coeliac and oh do they know how to cater for coeliac people. Miguel and Vanesa looked after me each meal time as we were full board. Able to pre-order for lunch time and evening meal but if not they took me around every single item to advise if I could eat it or not. They went above and beyond. All the staff in restaurant were lovely and so friendly and built a repoire with you.
The animation team were absolutely fantastic.
Javier and his team worked so hard entertaining everyone.
They even allowed my daughter to work with them and she starred in the Michael Jackson show with them.
They are a great team of people and so enthusiastic.
Rooms were clean and nice. So quiet in the evening allowing a good nights sleep.
Our flight was not until late home and we were able to pay to keep room until later as no one was due to arrive that day which was great.
The only disappointing thing - it was our 30th wedding anniversary when we were there and my husband advised me later that he had informed the hotel but there was no acknowledgement of it on the day. Even a card in your room would have been nice.
Thank you AQUAMARINA & Spa we had a lovely time and enjoyed our 10 days with you.
