Stayed 3 nights in Superior room w. seaview. Should have got water & coffee capsules every day, nobody gave it, had to ask every time. 2 broken expresso machines, 3'rd one not 100% either. The staff was amazingly professional and customer orientated!!!! We had a little situation with the original tour of the city, no fault of the staff! Though I was a bit disappointed, they went above and beyond themselves in reassuring us that there were other ways to see the city and to enjoy ourselves. To get to the cathedral, you need to take a bus. It takes about 30 minutes to walk. We've known this hotel for a long time, especially under its previous ownership. Undeniably, we've noticed a decline in service across the board: quality of service, room cleanliness, and the quality of the food. Every aspect is affected. Beautiful, well kept hotel. Spacious rooms. Huge pools surrounded by palms and gardens. Food is generally very good and there is enough variety to please most people, most nights. Half board was good value, for us, as drinks are not expensive, with nice cocktails for €7 and beer for €4. Unless you are a massive drinker or never want to leave the hotel, all inclusive is probably less good value.
