We stayed here last summer for our first family holiday with our 5 and 2 year old and had a really great experience. Some of the reviews mentioning lots of children surprised me as the hotel has a swimming pool specifically designed for young kids, so it’s naturally popular with families and there is the expected level of lively, happy noise that comes with that.

The food was good with a decent variety, which worked well for both adults and children. Snacks available at the bar under the all-inclusive package were a bit limited, but still perfectly fine overall.

The rooms were fairly basic, but they were spotlessly clean, which was the most important thing for us when travelling with young children.

All of the staff were friendly and very helpful whenever we needed anything, and the local businesses in the area were also lovely and welcoming.

We wouldn’t hesitate to book here again and would happily recommend it to other families with young children.

This has to be the best 4 star hotel I have ever stayed in. That’s saying a lot as I’ve been to 37 of them. I’m a well travelled person and opted to visit her with my daughter for a week.

We cannot fault the hotel at all. The food was perfectly fine, something for everyone with plenty of options.

The all inclusive service is superb with many top shelf spirits included in the service. You can pour your own beer, soft drinks and sangria.

The pools are well kept and very clean.

The staff as a whole are amazing and do there bit to ensure your needs are met.

The rooms are very clean, well kept and great. We had a balcony overlooking the pool which was nice.

The night time entertainment was brief but great, starting most nights around 9:15pm and finishing at 11/11:30pm.

From the moment we arrived we had such an amazing holiday.

The beach is really close with plenty of shops and supermarkets near by too.

We will 100% be coming back in 2026.

We stayed at Hotel Best Sol d’or on the 21st September for 10 nights as a family of 4 plus my mum! We were quite worried after reading some bad reviews but honestly we need not have worried at all! The hotel is beautiful, really nicely decorated and we found everything to be really clean. The pool and slides were fantastic… we had such great fun (even the adults!). Lilo’s weren’t allowed but they did allow small inflatable hoops. The food was great, always something new to try and if you didn’t fancy any of it then there was always pasta with tomato sauce, all different kinds of pizzas being freshly made constantly (always a vegetarian one and a meat one available) and plenty of salad and chips every day. Snacks for all inclusive consist of cheese and ham or plain cheese toasty, chips, crisps, hotdog, burger, ice creams and nuts! The pool bar staff were amazing! Please ignore reviews saying otherwise… if you’re nice and polite to them then they will be the same back and vice versa! A lot of people were quite rude to them so I’m not surprised they get a frosty reception! We’re English and found the other guests to be a mix of half Spanish and half English, so nothing to worry about there! The entertainment is in Spanish but we still managed to join in and know what was going on… things like karaoke night, Zulu warrior dancing, even the magician, you didn’t have to understand Spanish to enjoy! The weather was great, it was on average 25 degrees everyday and we only had 2 cloudy days but it was still warm! The only bad thing of the entire trip was the other guests slamming their doors during the night and letting their kids run down the hallway at 7am… please have some respect for other guests! The doors only slam if you let them! Apart from that we had the best holiday! Special thanks and hola to our friends at the pool bar… Leslie, Nichols, Amber and Olivia! love from the ‘Legendario no ice’ family!

Currently at this hotel. Although everything with the hotel is brilliant the evening entertainment is absolutely HORRENDOUS!!! My daughter who is 6 and autistic and English may I add! Has taken part in evening entertainment every night (dance contest etc) at first i said it is what it is up until tonight this evening (Tuesday the 30th September) my daughter was taking part in the children/adults guess the movie from the song competition. Each song she knew the movie 3 people got this wrong from 3 different songs and each time my daughter stepped forward and said the answer she was aggressively told to “SHHHH” 3 times through a microphone now as I said further up my daughter is autistic now she isn’t exactly the best in any confrontational way tone etc. EVERY PERSON ON THAT STAGE THAT GOT BROUGHT UP WAS SPANISH? EVERY PERSON THAT HAS BEEN BROUGHT UP ON STAGE FOR THE WEEK HAS BEEN SPANISH? Do you see where I’m going with this? Now tell me why I’ve paid 3 thousand pounds for my daughter to be shushed and pushed to one side just because she doesn’t speak the language they do? This is the same entertainment staff each night now these are the only staff I’ve had an issue with or I’ve got a complaint about the rest of the staff are lovely and go above and beyond if you need help with anything. I’ve spoke with reception who said a manager in the morning will contact me. These are the staff attached in the photos to keep your children away from the horrible people especially if you don’t speak Spanish!

We stayed at this hotel for 7 nights on an all-inclusive basis. Our group consisted of 4 adults, 1 child, and 2 babies. During our stay, many issues occurred. Upon arrival, one of the rooms had women’s hair in the shower cabin and on the floor, while the other had a significant amount of dust behind the entrance door. On the second night, neither of the rooms was cleaned. The public restrooms in the common areas were constantly dirty, making it impossible to change the babies’ diapers, even though the cleaning logs were marked as updated. One of the elevators to the rooms broke down during our stay, leaving only one in service, which was also not in proper working condition, as it made loud noises and sudden jolts. Now, regarding the restaurant — the worst part. There is only one elevator giving access to the restaurant, and it does not feel safe, suggesting that regular maintenance is not carried out. The food was the same every day, with only a few dishes changed to appear “themed.” Service was extremely slow. One evening, when my niece started crying, one of the waitresses rolled her eyes. The following night, during dinner, we were again treated very poorly, with the waitress literally dropping the glass cups onto the table. The space is very cramped for strollers, and the staff complain when we place them next to the table. If you are traveling with children, especially small ones who require a stroller, this hotel is definitely not the best option. The infrastructure makes access to several areas very difficult, and the cleanliness is extremely poor.

It is definitely not a child-friendly hotel. Today at dinner the restaurant employee rolled her eyes when my niece was crying. The cleanliness of the rooms and common bathrooms leaves much to be desired. The food in the restaurant is not very varied. The elevators lack safety and maintenance. It is not a hotel that deserves 4 stars.

What an absolutely lovely hotel…It was clean, the staff were friendly and the all inclusive was brilliant. Comfy clean rooms and beds and an absolutely lovely shower. The meals were all varied and of good quality and we barely queued for any of them…Maybe a minute at most. The daily snacks were good quality and the self serve drinks were an excellent idea. There were always sun beds whatever time of the day you went down. Also a great location as an absolutely delightful beach is about one minutes walk away. There is a little games room for kids as well with pool and air hockey. The only fault I can find is the pool was absolutely freezing. I don’t mean it was cold I mean you couldn’t stay in it for more than about 20 minutes as it was uncomfortable. But apart from this I can’t find any fault with this hotel. Yes the entertainment was in Spanish (it didn’t stop us enjoying it at al)l….but that’s because WE ARE IN SPAIN!! People need to stop being so entitled and expecting everyone to just speak their language. Is the entertainment in England also in Spanish??? No of course it’s not so stop moaning when the entertainment in Spain is in Spanish I don’t think we will ever come back to this area as we like visiting new places but if we did I would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at the hotel for one week for tourism purposes, but unfortunately, our experience was far below expectations. 1. The hotel was not clean, especially the bathrooms. 2. The service was very poor considering it is four star hotel. The staff were unhelpful, and when they did assist, they showed clear dissatisfaction. 3. The hotel had no spa facilities such as a sauna, indoor pool, or jacuzzi. 4. The buffet was disappointing; the food quality was not at the level of afour star hotel. 5. There was no shuttle bus service to the city center, unlike other hotels we stayed in across Spain that offered this facility. 6. Most of the staff spoke only Spanish and very little English. There was no German or any other language assistance, which made communication very difficult for international guests. Furthermore, we were asked to check out at 12 noon. Unfortunately, we were traveling with children and infants, and the staff refused to give us even one extra hour to stay, despite our flight being in the evening. This left us wandering around the hotel all day, sitting on chairs in the lobby. Even worse, although we had paid for an All Inclusive package, the hotel denied us lunch on the day of departure. Another very important and inconvenient issue was the lack of restrooms near the restaurant. Families with children had to walk nearly 100 meters to use the bathrooms located either at the reception or near the pool. This was particularly difficult since we had small children who needed frequent bathroom breaks. Lastly, the hotel offered no evening activities except for live music, which was repetitive and boring, especially for children. Overall, the experience was disappointing and did not meet the standards of a five-star hotel.
