HL Paradise Island in Playa Blanca

Great place for families plenty food choices but only 1 resteraunt with 2 seating areas pool bar food not great but on all day apartments basic but spacious but the beds are terrible barely slept & kids beds are just sheets and pillow made up on 1 side of a corner couch that was like a play centre material both beds and couch like sleeping on an ironing board we all had sore backs! Didn't need to get up early for sunbeds was plenty around & the water park was good

Everyone says honest review and this is mine some will love it and some will hate it, Hotel: To be fair the hotel is fine, basic and AI food standard with watered down alcohol same old same old, but you can’t pay peanuts and expect champagne like some, Our room was spotless with cleaners coming everyday (who are very polite) we also don’t live like farm animals and kept our room clean and tidy so no bugs for us. Water park is a blast and is far enough from the bar that the Jeremy Kyle rejects can’t be arsed to wonder so it’s relatively quiet unlike their watering hole (pool bar). Yes the hotel is rough around the edges but it’s good enough for the price we paid, some of the guests let it down, I found the Essex/ Cockney the most intolerable. I witnessed a woman screaming at a life guard because he asked her to take her necklace off on the slide, to be fair if it ripped her head off her body probably wouldn’t notice for a couple of weeks . We had a hire car so didn’t spend every waking moment at the hotel, think I would have killed myself. We also never used the bars on a-night so can’t comment but the amount of times the police attended says it all. The food court can be another whole experience, you get dinner and a show. We loved nothing more then watching some of the wildlife’s offspring load a plate full chips spilling half of them all over the floor then moaning the cleaners don’t clean up , be warned some of the Jeremy Kyle rejects come to life in the food hall and it is disgusting. Tips: Get a hire car, ours was about €120 for our stay cheap as chips and saves you from the Jeremy Kyle guests. Don’t park said car against traffic €40 fine as I found out. Explore the island loads to see and do. Barneys in town was a blast with live acts Monday - Saturday at 9:45 great atmosphere and friendly staff with great prices. This sounds like a negative review but it’s really not the hotel is fine, once you get the lay of the land we had a great time and it was a good base. With friendly staff Enjoy

Rooms: Rooms were cleaned daily and were spacious enough for a family of four. However, several maintenance issues stood out. The balcony lock (ground/first floor) was not working despite reporting it, the locker safe didn’t function, and there was no exhaust in the bathroom. Basic conveniences like mirrors were missing. Towels, blankets, and bath mats felt worn and in need of replacement. Door locks were squeaky and felt unreliable. The greenery around the resort provides a pleasant, cool ambience, but proximity to a water treatment plant occasionally caused unpleasant odours outdoors. Pool & Water Park: The pool area is great, with multiple options for different depths—kids really enjoyed it. The Dino water park is fun, but safety needs improvement. The flooring is cracked with loose stones, making it painful to walk barefoot. Slide steps were slippery and require better maintenance. Food & Dining: Food was decent but not comparable to Turkish all-inclusive standards. Breakfast was repetitive (mostly English options). Lunch and dinner had limited variation, though main courses changed occasionally. Staff were friendly and welcoming. A downside was birds entering the dining area, raising hygiene concerns. Also, beer glasses were very small, requiring frequent refills. Entertainment: Snack and entertainment areas were good, especially for kids. Overall: Not many standout positives, but not a terrible stay either. I had concerns about bed bugs before arrival, but thankfully experienced none. A decent stay with room for improvement, especially in maintenance and safety.

Hotel staff are lovely and attentive, very patient with amount of mess residents make. Food is mediocre, very greasy cooked food but a fresh wide variety each day. All inclusive drinks package is mediocre with basic choices e.g wine, beer, local spirits and machine made cocktails. Animation/entertainment team were excellent and went above and beyond with their evening performances always involving the audience with plenty of participation. We don't have kids, but kids seemed to love all the activities!
Hotel rooms are nice, comfy and clean. Could do with touch ups. The door to our room looked like it had been bashed open.
This hotel is good because of the staff's hospitality and service. Sadly, it lacks in other areas. Mostly let down by the clientele, dirty, loud, rude people, who treat the staff horribly - very disappointing to see.
