Bay Beach Resort in Choengmon

I’ll start with … pool is lovely . I’m here now…. All the reviews, am I seriously at the same place. No restaurant, no pool bar ,no mattress for sunbed at pool or the few stragglerly disgusting beds outside the resort on a dirty, scruffy beach with stagnant water, the only part not cleaned or looked after. No hot water in sink in bathroom, just a cold water tap. 2 hangers in my wardrobe, no drawers for clothes , tv not working, safe not working (batteries flat) air con box not working, no hand towel, no beach towels, no hair dryer in room , my pillow is like a slab of concrete inside a pillow case , bed is rock hard (my son has changed rooms with me) an absolute bloody disaster, no toilet paper to be placed in toilet (which I understand) , but they didn’t come to clean/ empty bin the next day. Then 2 consecutive days after they did, but left my room door unlocked and open on both days 🤷‍♀️ for anyone to walk in. I’m here with 3 family members, paid for 4 rooms, was going to extend our stay prior to getting here, now, I can’t wait to leave. It’s possible that the owners are new or they’ve only just reopened, but, to walk into the above in my opinion is totally unacceptable. The lady that runs it said thank you for sharing my thoughts with her as it helps put things right 🙈🤷‍♀️ they should be right before guests arrive. Staff are polite but, I most certainly will not be back here and definitely won’t be recommending this place to anyone else

I wouldn’t choose this hotel.
As a starter the location is bad, nothing to do around and you have to take a taxi everywhere.
Secondly, in our room at the middle of the night the air conditioner stopped working and they gave us another room just for the night and looked our keys in our original room and they didn’t have a spare key to open our room so it was a big deal to open the door.
And also, the rooms were dirty with dead mosquito all over the sink. And the last thing is that there’s is nobody in the reception throughout the day, it says that the reception is open between 7-23 , but in reality it was closed at 07:30 and also empty at 11 am. Other than that when we found the people that worked there they were really good and helpful and the swimming pool is really beautiful.
