The hotel boasts an elegant ambiance and the staff are incredibly polite and enthusiastic. The breakfast spread is generous, and amenities like the pool, fitness center, spa, Bodhi Tree Thai restaurant, and 1921 Steakhouse & Bar cater to every need. A Bib Gourmand recommended restaurant, just a 5-minute walk to the right from the hotel entrance, serves incredibly delicious and satisfying dishes (reservations via Google are recommended). We had a perfect week-long vacation in Chiang Mai! ☺️

The view from the room is quite therapeutic and beautiful, and the balcony is spacious. However, the soundproofing isn't great.

Overall, I found the service to be excellent; the staff were all very nice and proactively helped with luggage and other things.

Perhaps the hotel is a bit old, as I found the bathroom to be quite cramped.

The location is decent; it takes about ten to fifteen minutes to get anywhere by car. There are also security guards at the hotel entrance directing vehicles and ensuring people cross safely.

Service: Terrible. It felt like they couldn't understand anything I was saying.
Cleanliness: The restrooms by the pool were so dirty, I couldn't even look at them.
Facilities: Pretty good.
Environment: Still comfortable, especially enjoying the breakfast under the Bodhi tree with a gentle breeze – that was really pleasant.

Right before check-in, they offered us an upgrade. The room was originally 5000 THB a night, but we offered 3000 THB and they agreed, so it seems there's room to negotiate. The suite isn't separated into different rooms, it's one large open space. It's a lot bigger, but it doesn't feel as good as having separate areas.

The hotel has a great atmosphere and a good location. I especially loved 1921house, where I had a delicious dinner – highly recommend it! However, I was surprised that the minibar items weren't complimentary. I've stayed in many similarly-rated hotel suites, and I've never encountered such a stingy policy. Housekeeping was also quite perfunctory. The breakfast wasn't great; it was the same every morning for all four nights of my stay. The only redeeming quality was the à la carte options for various eggs and sausages. The à la carte desserts, though, were really good.

Anantara Resort is absolutely the pinnacle of resorts in Chiang Mai. The environment is beautiful and quiet, the breakfast is rich and delicious, and the service is excellent. It's also very photogenic. The suite, in particular, was incredibly comfortable. This is definitely a hotel I'd love to visit again! 🏨

The service goes above and beyond! I felt most welcome there, eve though i’m Thai, but the staff managed to recommend me a good places and events.
