Banana Fan Sea Resort in Chaweng Beach

A nice hotel in a central location.
Close to a mall, shops and several attractions.
We spent there two nights, one in a regular room and one in a better room. I must say that the upgrade was not that noticeable, and we didn’t fell the difference in the rooms.
The pool is pretty small and can get crowded, but beach is super close which is amazing.

Banana fan was amazing! The staff were extremely helpful, the room was clean and well kept, and the pool/beach area was great. This was the nicest place we stayed throughout 3 weeks in Thailand. Would certainly come back!

Rooms were very clean, with fresh towels and beach towels provided daily. The staff was friendly, and the resort itself was beautiful and well-maintained, with plenty of plants, which I really enjoyed. Unfortunately, there were some longer waiting times when ordering drinks, but overall, the staff was very polite and professional. The beach was also lovely, and I would definitely come back.

Spent 5 days in this hotel. The rooms are great, comfortable beds and great AC. Pool is a bit small but very beautiful and inviting. Beach access is great and comfortable. Food in the restaurant is excellent and the breakfast is rich and tasty. Hotel staff are great, welcoming and very helpful. Overall we really enjoyed our stay here. Highly recommended!

Our stay at this hotel was overall excellent, with just a few minor drawbacks.

Positives:
• Cleanliness: Impeccable. Every area, from the rooms to the common spaces and the restaurant, was perfectly clean at all times.
• Friendly Staff: The staff were always friendly, attentive, and committed to ensuring guests had a pleasant stay.
• Location: Absolutely perfect. The hotel’s location makes it an ideal base for exploring nearby attractions, beaches, and other amenities.
• Restaurant: The food was very good, offering a wide variety of dishes that were both flavorful and well-prepared.
• Helpfulness: The team was always ready to assist with any questions or concerns, making the stay especially enjoyable.
• Pool Area: The pool area was not only exceptionally clean but also aesthetically pleasing. A truly relaxing environment.

Negatives:
Unfortunately, there was one issue in the pool area that slightly marred an otherwise positive experience. Although the hotel has clear pool rules stating that loungers should not be left reserved for more than one hour if unattended, some guests (mainly German tourists) ignored these rules. It was disappointing that the staff did not address this issue despite several reminders. This led to scenes reminiscent of other popular vacation spots, such as in Spain, where loungers were “reserved” with towels as early as 8:00 AM, and the guests only returned to use them after breakfast, around 10:30 AM. A more proactive approach from the staff would have been appreciated.

Conclusion:
This hotel offers an excellent stay with outstanding service, cleanliness, and a prime location. However, the lack of enforcement of pool rules may be frustrating for guests who wish to fully enjoy the pool area. With stricter rule enforcement, this hotel would be nearly perfect!

The hotel is perfectly located, with direct access to an amazing beach. My room was not only comfortable but also beautifully appointed.

Had a really good time during the two nights we spent here. Everyone was so kind and always greeted us, making us feel welcome here. We got to enjoy both the pool and the beach right in front of the resort. The breakfast was delicious and the restaurant even has a cooking class where we can learn a few Thai dishes. Thank you so much for everything and hope to be back soon!
