I honestly don’t understand how this place ranks so high on Booking.com — don’t be fooled! The photos online look decent, but the reality is an absolute nightmare.

First of all, the penthouse we booked and paid for wasn’t even available when we arrived. They could have informed us weeks in advance, but instead, we found out on the spot. We were shown three alternative rooms, all of which reeked of cigarette smoke.

After complaining, they suddenly “found” the penthouse again — but by that point, we had lost all trust. We eventually managed to get our money back, but only after a lot of effort and stress.

To make things worse, Booking.com continues to support these scammers and refused to take responsibility by removing them from their platform or properly assisting with the refund process.

Avoid this place at all costs!

Nice people especially Monat and the lady who does the room service. Nice location, room was small, tv on the wall placed so close to the bed and was not easy to walk out without hitting it. Overall good place for the price.

I'm from Australia and I'm in Turkey for Dental work, the hotel staff are wonderful, and speak English so that made it easy for me to request things. So polite and accommodating and the room was very clean but still cleaned everyday by the staff, wonderful service everyone. The food in the Cafe is amazing.

We booked the hotel in the morning of the day of the check in and our booking was paid and confirmed. However when we arrived the hotel was full and they did not even receive our booking.

This hotel administrator told us that they do not work with agoda. But that expedia automatically puts it on agoda.

We had to book a different hotel in the middle of the night and were super stressed.
Then the hotel administrator found our (and 2 more) lost booking that was some kind of mistake of agoda/expedia and cancelled it and refunded us our money. He even gave us the confirmation. However on agoda the booking is still showing “paid” status and it has been already 10 days since - we do not have our money back.
Either the hotel is scamming people, or Agoda is!!!!!!
Anyways this is the last time ever I was using agoda since I can’t trust it anymore.
And definitely do not recommend this place

I would like to file a complaint regarding my experience with your hotel. Just a few hours before my planned stay, my reservation was canceled due to alleged payment issues. Despite repeated attempts to contact you in the evening and throughout the following day, I received very poor responses. Eventually, the blame was placed on Booking.com, and I was informed that my reservation had been canceled.

This situation was extremely disappointing, and I have never experienced anything like it before. Additionally, I found your staff to be unprofessional and unfriendly, which only worsened the experience.

Given these circumstances, I would not recommend this hotel to others.

Just pathetic and disappointing. When we reached there the receptionist told us that the hotel is fully booked and they can’t give us the room we booked earlier and he has arranged another room for us in another hotel in the vicinity. The location is also not good, the staff is non professional. Don’t book don’t go.

Our family visited Istanbul in early May and stayed at Lord Morgan Exclusive Design. From the moment we walked in we were welcomed by Nargis. She was friendly, kind and knowledgeable. She handled our check-in process quickly. Any time we needed anything, Nargis was quick to comply. Every day that we saw her it was like coming home to a friendly face. She was always professional and customer service oriented. She was knowledgeable about the city and her recommendations were greatly appreciated. She is a fantastic and dedicated employee and I hope that the Management of Lord Morgan knows that they have a gem in Nargis. If we come to Istanbul again we would love to come back and stay at Lord and Morgan because Nargis made that a wonderful experience for us.

Had an excellent stay here for 5 days in April 2024. Both Nargiz and Morat were extremely helpful, friendly and accommodating. Made me feel very welcome. The hotel is decorated amazingly and looks very boutique'y. My room was like a little apartment, like a suite and was very well decorated and clean. Bed was very comfy. Located right by a slew of shops, restaurants and sights, it's a great location. I would highly recommend staying here, and I'll be coming back next year 👍
