As a couple we loved our stay here. The staff are wonderful, with great knowledge of the city, accommodated us with an early check in and had an airport shuttle sorted for us in the early hours of the morning. The breakfast was also great with a wide selection at a buffet. Located near a main intersection with easy access to trams and buses. When we come back we will 100% be staying here again.

We stayed for a week in Hotel Black Tulip. The room was small, it was enough for me and my wife. Everything was functional and in good shape. The hotel is in the center of Istanbul and in a tourist area, but the room is very small, as is the bathroom. The big problem is that the air conditioner doesn't work when we're outside the room, which is inconvenient in the summer, as guests expect to return to a cool room. The double room was clean and had a clean bathroom as well. The ventilation was good, but since the building is wooden, you can hear a lot of noise from other rooms — especially footsteps from the floor above.
