best of the best location, kind and very helpful staff. Clean rooms. We had a transit flight and spent some hours in istanbul in this small hotel apartment.

Excellent reception staff and very friendly with easy check . Rooms are spacious and clean with the usual amenities. Plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. Very comfortable stay yet again. I will be back next year.

Great location. And the room with tarace is just owo. Happy to get such great accommodations within a cheap price. Highly recommend. But it would be best if they had breakfast options. People would love to have breakfast with such a great view.

Very poor service, not clean, the door of the terrace was open and was not possible to close. It was broken and for them it was completely normal for me to sleep in a room where anyone can enter

The hotel has an excellent location, spacious rooms, and generally friendly staff. I would recommend staying here. That said, I had a negative experience with Yakup at the front desk, who was unhelpful and uncooperative during his shift. Fortunately, the other two front desk staff and the housekeeping lady were fantastic, and they made my stay enjoyable. I would return mainly because of them. This review would have been five stars if not for the issue with Yakup.

A few weeks ago we booked a room for 4 people at Retropera Hotel and when we went it was a real horror. The receptionist was very rude, the rooms were not at all like in the photos and Booking.com, we had booked a room with 4 beds and when we went it was a room with a double bed, a single bed and a bed they had improvised on a couch. It was very dirty and a very unsuitable environment to stay in. The sheets were dirty, the floor was not washed, the toilet was dirty and dust was everywhere. When we communicated about this problem they did not give us any solution but they laughed at us and said that it would be very bad if they knew the real owner. They did not give us our money back and even the hotel owner forcibly withdrew our tax bill. YOU SHOULD NOT GO TO Retropera Hotel. It ruined our vacation. A miserable place

I stayed at Nippon Hotel during the end of the year and New Year period. The hotel was fully booked, including many families, yet the overall experience was very good.
The service was excellent, the room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, and it fully matched my expectations. Housekeeping and staff support were professional and responsive.
Breakfast offered a good variety of options, and if something was not available, the staff were willing to accommodate special requests, which was appreciated.
The location of the hotel is also very convenient, with easy access to exchange offices, supermarkets, restaurants, and shisha cafés. Overall, it was a pleasant and comfortable stay.
I wish the hotel continued success.

On the first night, I complained to the hotel because I couldn’t sleep due to the heat (in winter time), I was tired then. They were unable to fix the air conditioner, and next morning I asked to change rooms. They moved us to another room that is smaller, for four people, but with better air conditioning. This means I paid for a Family Deluxe room of 35 m² but had to stay in a room of about 20 m². This experience is bad.
I have stayed at three other hotels in Turkey during this trip, and all of them were good. Only Nippon Hotel made my holiday incomplete. I really regret choosing Nippon Hotel; if I had read other guests’ reviews on Google more carefully, I would not have made this booking.

I had a very pleasant stay at the hotel. The property is very clean, and the staff are friendly, welcoming, and consistently helpful. I appreciated the thoughtful touches such as the welcoming fruit plates and Turkish delights, which made the stay feel even more personalized.
The breakfast was fair, with a reasonable selection. One of the strongest aspects of the stay was the team at the reception; they were always attentive, responding to guest requests promptly and professionally.
Overall, a comfortable stay with great service and good hospitality. I would happily consider returning.

Good service overall. In the rooms, the wardrobes are very small. If you plan to go with small children, you won’t be able to enter or exit with a stroller, which really annoyed me. The hotel doesn’t have parking. Breakfast is moderately good.

Edit 1: the issue is solved after a long discussion back and forth with the hotel and Booking.com.

I just arrived today at 2 PM, and the room was extremely hot. I asked the reception to check the air conditioning, and they told me it was fixed. I trusted them and went out for the day. When I came back around 10 PM, the room was even hotter!
I called the reception again (different shift this time), and the person told me there’s no cold air, only heating, because the entire building uses central AC. Seriously? Every guest has to accept the same temperature? What if someone wants a cooler room? This makes absolutely no sense.
I told him that if they cannot provide cold air, then please refund my money so I can move to another hotel. He told me to contact Booking.com. I did, and Booking informed me that the hotel just needs to send a confirmation email to approve a refund. However, the reception refused, saying that only the reservation team can do that — and they don’t work on weekends! So now I have to wait until Monday, meaning I’m forced to spend two nights in a room at 29°C!
This is completely unacceptable. Poor management, poor communication, and zero care for guests’ comfort. I am stuck here suffering because of their unprofessional system.
Avoid this hotel unless you enjoy sleeping in a sauna!
