Room was not so clean as expected, plenty black hairs were noticed on the bed sheet, bath towels and bathroom floor.

Worst stay, room was congested was unable to walk from one side to the window, the bad occupied the place and there were no space left, also the staff is very rude and unsupportive.. didn’t provide water asked for money … hated the place and staff , breakfast was terrible was breakfast i have eaten in my life

I arrived in the afternoon and planned to take a night cruise. When I checked in, the front desk also offered a night cruise, so I didn't book online. When it was time to depart, the front desk said the boat hadn't arrived yet and told me to wait, promising to call me. After waiting for an hour, I went downstairs to ask and was told it was canceled. What a Turkish scam! This phrase comes from ancient wisdom. If you're traveling independently in Turkey, be extra careful. You'll encounter one trick after another, each different from the last! Some people are just inherently bad!!!

It's good location; nice staff but at time of booking it's not mentioned that it has no ac : due to warm weather we have to open windows and as all street have hotels so loud noise we didn't get good sleep.we asked for fan but they didn't provide , also they joined to single mattress together to make it queen bed and the socket for phone charging was in middle of bed with no table

The location was excellent, with quick access to Taksim Square and the metro.
Cleanliness was average (the duvet was not changed that day and had a large dirty stain).
Service was average.
The room did not match the photos.
Breakfast was good but not excellent.
Overall rating: 7.5/10, mainly because of the excellent location and decent breakfast.

Great choice for us as we wanted a hotel close to taksim but not exactly at taksim so we avoid noise at night. Room was not big as I expected from living in Asian side where you can get bigger rooms for same price . But considering European side it’s very good, clean and great hotel. Good breakfast. Great services. Staff was friendly and hotel itself is greatly build. Big beds and comfortable sleep. Loved staying here.

Review – Nippon Hotel, Istanbul
I stayed at Nippon Hotel during the end of the year and New Year period. The hotel was fully booked, including many families, yet the overall experience was very good.
The service was excellent, the room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, and it fully matched my expectations. Housekeeping and staff support were professional and responsive.
Breakfast offered a good variety of options, and if something was not available, the staff were willing to accommodate special requests, which was appreciated.
The location of the hotel is also very convenient, with easy access to exchange offices, supermarkets, restaurants, and shisha cafés. Overall, it was a pleasant and comfortable stay.
I wish the hotel continued success.

On the first night, I complained to the hotel because I couldn’t sleep due to the heat (in winter time), I was tired then. They were unable to fix the air conditioner, and next morning I asked to change rooms. They moved us to another room that is smaller, for four people, but with better air conditioning. This means I paid for a Family Deluxe room of 35 m² but had to stay in a room of about 20 m². This experience is bad.
I have stayed at three other hotels in Turkey during this trip, and all of them were good. Only Nippon Hotel made my holiday incomplete. I really regret choosing Nippon Hotel; if I had read other guests’ reviews on Google more carefully, I would not have made this booking.

I had a very pleasant stay at the hotel. The property is very clean, and the staff are friendly, welcoming, and consistently helpful. I appreciated the thoughtful touches such as the welcoming fruit plates and Turkish delights, which made the stay feel even more personalized.
The breakfast was fair, with a reasonable selection. One of the strongest aspects of the stay was the team at the reception; they were always attentive, responding to guest requests promptly and professionally.
Overall, a comfortable stay with great service and good hospitality. I would happily consider returning.

Good service overall. In the rooms, the wardrobes are very small. If you plan to go with small children, you won’t be able to enter or exit with a stroller, which really annoyed me. The hotel doesn’t have parking. Breakfast is moderately good.

Edit 1: the issue is solved after a long discussion back and forth with the hotel and Booking.com.

I just arrived today at 2 PM, and the room was extremely hot. I asked the reception to check the air conditioning, and they told me it was fixed. I trusted them and went out for the day. When I came back around 10 PM, the room was even hotter!
I called the reception again (different shift this time), and the person told me there’s no cold air, only heating, because the entire building uses central AC. Seriously? Every guest has to accept the same temperature? What if someone wants a cooler room? This makes absolutely no sense.
I told him that if they cannot provide cold air, then please refund my money so I can move to another hotel. He told me to contact Booking.com. I did, and Booking informed me that the hotel just needs to send a confirmation email to approve a refund. However, the reception refused, saying that only the reservation team can do that — and they don’t work on weekends! So now I have to wait until Monday, meaning I’m forced to spend two nights in a room at 29°C!
This is completely unacceptable. Poor management, poor communication, and zero care for guests’ comfort. I am stuck here suffering because of their unprofessional system.
Avoid this hotel unless you enjoy sleeping in a sauna!
