Quiet and sanitary environment

Room cleaning was yuck two days without mugs and coffee bags. Body shampoo ran out it took two days until they refilled.  the bed was not that comfortable. I really loved the Shangri-La atmosphere; it blended Chinese artistic flair with French creamy elegance. Combined with the view from the window, it felt tranquil and pleasant, yet full of charm. What disappointed me was the poor character of the staff at the front desk who handled check-in. They used cunning Turkish scams on customers they were supposed to serve. My friend and I recently stayed at the Gorrion hotel and we both thoroughly enjoyed our time there. I’d like to shine the light on an employee named Can. He truly went above and beyond in making sure all of our needs were met. Going out of his way ensuring we were treated like family. The location is amazing as I have stayed here before, unfortunately no AC in the hotel and the room cleaning was not done to a high level, with the bathroom bin left on the toilet seat and no complimentary water left.

The hotel is located in front of Bosphorus Strait, and very convenient access to the ferry port and the metro stration. Since I used the Sabiha Gokcen International Airport (SAW), it took about only one hour from the airport to the hotel by using Metro, without worrying about traffic jams. I had easy access to the Old town side by using the ferry.

It seems like the minute you drive in, the Valet Parking guys are chasing you to pay almost as high as 10% of the overnight rate just for parking!!! My go-to choice for business trips. The hotel is right above a subway station, bus stop, and McDonald's. Step out and turn left, you'll find restaurants, a Carrefour supermarket, and small convenience stores. Turn right, and there's a local supermarket and a well-known local seafood restaurant. City’s mall, large hiker market and many restaurants, cafes just across large avenue and around the hotel also has many small restaurants that are convenient .
