The property isn’t in the condition. They don’t bother to let you know there doing construction. The elevators are rugged to ride. The door to our room was rotted over and my Boyfriend had to force it open with his shoulder. The actual room was gross. The bathroom looked like it had mold all over it. Faculty is not friendly whatsoever. The balcony door doesn’t stay open over well. Being a female I did not feel safe being in that hotel by myself. I just had surgery a week prior and didn’t didn’t feel clean to even sleep in the room. My boyfriend his brother and myself ended up leaving the hotel at 1am and went and booked another room at a nicer hotel for the fact this was the most disgusting room I’ve ever stayed in. Very disappointing. Made our first bight being here absolutely miserable. I would never recommend this place to anyone. This hotel needs to be completely re done.
We booked our hotel room online since March of this year. Call the hotel on two occasions to confirm booking. Arrive at hotel in November and was told that our booking was canceled. No reason given! Now instead of paying the $90 per night that we initially book the rates were now $135 per night. One of the staff, a young male, was extremely rude. The hotel look like a roach Motel. Rugs in the hall ways look like they haven’t been change in one hundred years. Room doors was dirty, hall ways dark and dingy. My bathroom door was rusted and mold can be seen all around the edges of the bathroom. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SO CALL HOTEL!!!

Perfect location, but they have a lot of room for improvements. The lobby smelled dusty and muggy, though they know about it and apparently they’ve been trying to fix it. Be prepared to do some exercise since all doors in this hotel weight 100kg. I don’t know why, but it’s super heavy to get any door opened, you really need to pull hard. Rooms and pool were perfectly clean with the exception of the bathroom: the paint was coming out of the roof, there was mold all over it, and the tub looked like it had not been properly cleaned for a while. There’s a microwave in the lobby. Not enough umbrellas in the pool area.
Believe the reviews. Don’t give it the benefit of the doubt like I did. This hotel smells like weed 24/7 and they are fine with it. Cockroach found in room and they did nothing. Door in bathroom didn’t close , place is run down and dirty and the first night I was offered a room with a temporary air conditioner and no working light. This place is ghetto and trashy and not worth the stay. Only reason I didn’t leave is because they charged my card immediately upon arrival. Asked to speak to a manager on 3 occasions and it wasn’t an option.

The front desk was helpful but room service was terrible. We had 4 guests and they would only give us 3 sets of towels. We had to keep calling room service for more towels and they didn't clean our room until the last night. The pictures online make the place look much nicer. Very poor room, dirty. The location was the best part of this hotel. Also online they say no fee for parking but you have to pay a parking meter all day which comes out to $36 a day, so don't be fooled. Never again.
Great little hotel with lovely pool area,quieter than many nearby. Superb location. Bathroom terrible however,needs updating. Beds comfortable and super views from the balcony, overlooking the beach which is a 2 minute walk.Easy to walk to Art Deco area/South beach & to Mid beach or Miami beach,along the seafront boardwalk. Stunning beaches.
The pictures posted on the website doesn’t do this place justice. It has been the worst looking hotel that I’ve stayed in. The entrance and their hallways smells weird. The rooms are old and rotting. The toilet looked like it’s breaking. The faucet and shower knobs seemed like if it had mold. We were switched to 2 different rooms because the first one smelled really bad. The second one had a visible air conditioning system and the toilet didn’t stop making noise and running water after flushing. The mattresses are old and dirty. I didn’t bother eating or using their pool because I didn’t trust it. It doesn’t deserve not a single star.

Buffet was horrible. Old food, not fresh, warmed up for like hours. The drinks were horrible and the sweets were left in room temperature for hours. But the staff was pretty great.

Not a good experience. The two "bartenders" were way more into themselves and looking at themselves in the mirror than attending to customers. To add insult to injury we had to pay the included/mandatory 20 pct tip to those creepy chicks. My real "tip" to them would be to go find another job you might be good at. It was a really, weird, cold, and snotty vibe. I would never go back here again. Food was just ok... the table service was at least better than the bar and decent!

I decided to eat here because of the Miami Spice event, and quite frankly it felt like a screw you to people who can't afford to eat here normally. The dishes were all tiny (two fried shrimp is an appetizer?) and when I looked at other people's plates who'd ordered from the normal menu there was substantially more food. Furthermore, I got a strong sense from our waitress that she would rather be serving someone who's check was going to be bigger. She was much more attentive to tables ordering from the normal menu, and we rarely saw her. I understand that Miami Spice prices are going to be much cheaper than a restaurants regular prices and they don't necessarily want to lose money, but don't participate in Miami Spice then. It felt like once they became aware that we would be ordering from that menu they tried their hardest to wrap up our meal and get us out as quickly as possible. Also we weren't notified there was gratuity already included and I left an additional 15%. Dishonest and snobby.

What a waste of a Miami evening. We brought our own wine knowing that there would be a "corking fee" of $50 per bottle. One of our bottles were larger...so they charged us $100. Why? no extra glasses and we poured most of it ourselves. Our bill was $650 for six of us including tip. The food was nothing special. The 8oz Filet was just average.
Everything in Miami is 18% gratuity included on your bill. Our waiter asked us for an additional 15% to 20% tip claiming the 18% goes to the "other help" What a scam...what are supposed to do? Look cheap in front of your friends?

Not sure how the reviews are so bad.. have been to most of the best restaurants in Miami and the service here was the best by a mile. Food was good and the staff were all amazing. One of the only restaurants that don't automatically take 20%+ service charge off the bill as well but definitely deserve a good tip.

My night at The Dutch was completely unpleasant. My entire party did not enjoy the food. Prices are ridiculous but service is amazing and super attentive I will not be coming back here again!!! Good luck to you future customers, hope you aren’t as unhappy as I was with my experience..

Service was top-notch: attentive, quick, efficient, professional. Every taste, from the oysters to the crudo to the burgundy was phenomenal. The lunch menu is cool.

Chef Andrew Carmellini, whom New Yorkers know (and love) for Locanda Verde, Little Park, Lafayette, and the Dutch in SoHo took his act on the road opening inside the W South Beach. (Fun fact: Carmellini’s grandfather ran the Surf Club down the street back in the 1950s.) The seafood-heavy menu features crowd-pleasers like the diver scallops and farde salmon; the Biscayne Platter (a dozen oysters, little necks clams, corvina ceviche, etc.) is good for a group while the sheep’s milk ricotta is a no-brainer. The dining room, designed by the New York-based Meyer Davis Studio (The Dutch SoHo, Lure), marries a mod beach look with driftwood beams overhead, light oak floors, and a zinc-top bar. At lunch, ask for a table outside in the garden.
