+ Surprisingly quiet in the room.- Mattress was rock hard. Window covered in opaque contact paper so you could not see out to check the weather.
If anyone is planning to visit Miami South Beach Florida…. Please save yourself the money and DO NOT patronize Majestic Hotel South Beach…. They provided me with a room that had roaches, nasty lamps and mildewed sheets. This things were not found out until after my return late that evening. It was a one day trip. Therefore roaches come out mainly at night, sheets would not be found mildewed until one is ready for bed and the lamp was to filthy to touch which in an already lit room, a lamp would go unnoticed. They refused to refund me stating that I checked in at 4pm and did not report immediately. Again, ALL THESE THINGS, ALONG WITH PICTURES…. Were reported and noted by the front desk immediately UPON MY RETURN LATER THAT EVENING once these things occurred and were noticed! They could have checked their cameras to see when I returned compared to when I reported. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! See photos! You have more options on South Beach!

--UPDATE-- Justin from Majestic emailed today at 2:30 PM informing us the refund has been processed and will reflect in our card in 7-10 days. Appreciate the quick response and working to resolve the issue. I will be updating my review once the payment is posted.
When we arrived at the boutique hotel just before midnight on a Saturday night Nelson greeted us checked us in. We were also greeted by a server from the restaurant and he took out drink order before the bar closed.
Nelson informed us where CVS was located just in case we needed any supplies. Nelson was amazing, he was so friendly, helpful and courteous. We received excellent customer service from the entire staff while we were there. The room was small but clean. If you just need somewhere to shower and change this hotel is perfect. The location was perfect and beautiful. The day we checked out the staff allowed us to keep our luggage behind the counter so we could walk around and have lunch before our flight.

Very outdated rusty & it stinks smells like mold. Old elevator never worked. This place is a joke. Wouldn’t stay for free! Beds are so hard and uncomfortable (Rock hard) metal bed. The worst place I booked. So misleading as it is in a good location. No pride in the things they offer. Horrible customer service I spoke to a nasty lady named Jenny she spoke over me while I was explaining the situation. And even hung u on me this place is beyond DISGUSTING! Not accommodating for paying customers. Beeping sound all day. Just terrible! Moved me to another room it smelled worst. Sand was inside the bed. Dirty mirrors in the second room that should of been better than the first one. They need to close this place until they upgrade everything. And hire good customer service reps because they have absolute trash working at this nasty hotel. DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE!
My husband and I ate at the Majestic Restaurant but didn't stay at the hotel. But the atmosphere of this place was so vibrant and festive with good music and beautiful colors and lots of vegetation in flowers and plants and it felt really good to sit down in here and eat some really great food overlooking South Beach itself. The ocean in the breeze were really great. The food was fabulous also.

A very nice restaurant right on Ocean Drive which is a center of activity in South Beach. Reasonably priced given the location. Our food and service was excellent. The photo is a view from the restaurant.

Terrible service. Sneaky discount baiting.. Saying they have but one get one free drinks and you get the bill for a 45 dollar drink! Plus they double charged me for the drink anyway!

Be careful to ask about drink pricing, be careful about uncharging ad-ons, and NEVER let your credit card out of your sight when paying! I only go to Bayside and Ocean drive with out of town company. I live here, and KNOW better...but when having a nice time, I have slipped and let the server take my CC at Bayside last year, , and now here, last week...and have had my credit card info stolen and USED from both places :( Miami is unique and can be fascinating - but be vigilent in high tourist areas!

Wish I could leave 0 stars as horrible service 20 percent gratuity added on and waitress cooked the bill adding $ for premium alcohol and my 25 dollar corona. Burger was ok fries cold ....dont do it!!!!

Service was HORRIBLE! We asked about 5 times for our bill and the waiters kept claiming it wasn't their table. We had to literally get up to get their attention and all came rushing at us claiming we were trying to leave without paying. When we stated the problem they were extremely rude, even when asked to speak the manager, she was equally as rude- as she was a part of them. The waiter blatantly lied about checking up on us "5 minutes ago" and stated she would call the police. When I told her to go ahead because we did nothing wrong - she obviously didn't. In the end two waiters ended up telling us "eff you" and the manager told us she didn't have time to deal with us after we paid. Horrible horrible customer service! Would never go back . Really ruined the south beach experience for us. Besides the service the chicken sandwich was extremely bland , would never go back there- if they had a rating less than one star, I would choose that.

The manager at our hotel referred my husband and I to the “oldest and best Cuban food in south beach”. It did not disappoint. My husband had the red snapper and it was cooked perfectly. I had a medium Cuban and it was really good (though not the best I’ve ever had.) We also shared a chicken noodle soup and the broth was perfect. Rice and black beans were the best I’ve ever had. It was packed when we got there but they made every effort to seat us quickly and the service was really good. I saw another customer’s chicken paella and immediately felt jealous. If I go back, that’s my next order. :)

Not a lot of Cuban food where I'm from. Visiting after a cruise. Stopped in for a Cuban sandwich. They were delicious. We also had an appetizer sampler. I don't recall the name but here are pics. The tamale and the croquettes were tasty. Definitely worth the stop in. Next time I'd like to try the breakfast! Everything looked awesome.

We really like it!. It has a Latin flavor within all the American franchises around. It also makes you feel like if you were in Cuba, with the home taste of the plates. The service is great and the price is affordable in compare to the prices of the other restaurant's in the area. If you look for a taste of Latin Caribbean food this is the place to go

Great spot. This was my first time having Cuban food and I enjoyed. I highly recommend the Fish in Green Sauce dish.

The presentation of this dish will shock you but it was really good. It had a great flavor; light, yet bold. You can really taste the butter and other herbs. It was definitely worth the price and highly recommended.
Shrimp Cuban Style (in Spanish sauce)
This dish was just okay. It had sort of a tomato stew meats Spanish rice flavor. It was mild in taste, as it was desperately in need of additional flavor. This one wasn't worth the $19.99 price. Consider the Shrimp Scampi based on the Fish in Green Sauce dish.
Shredded Beef
This dish had a tomato stew base/Spanish rice style flavor as well. The beef was tender and moist, making for a good experience w/ the rice. It was recommended as a Cuban classic and I would order it again, but it's nothing to write home about.

From the outside, this place didn’t inspire any excitement. But once you walk in and food is served. Wow. Roasted half chicken with rice and side salad. Amazing! Fruit smoothies are super tasty. I wish I’d have more time to go back and try more food. Looking around at people’s plates (lol), everything looked delicious! Great place. Also they have good coffee!

Great views, awesome drink selection, they're daiquiri combinations are so cool and delicious. We had appetizers, fries and nachos, delicious as well. Pricey but the view of South Beach obviously makes it worth it!

My friends and I had an awesome experience at Wet Willies. Our server was extremely professional and provided us with multiple suggestions. We went late on a Tuesday night and got a spot on the patio upstairs - it wasn't busy at all. The food and drinks are flavourful and we enjoyed the view. Prices are also fair given the location and portion size! Will definitely visit again and try some more flavours of their famous drinks!

Nothing great at all. Overrated bar and food was horrible. Something straight out of a supermarket frozen pack. You need an ID to get in and what was surprising, the waiter asked for an ID to hold in order to take our orders. Gives you an idea what they think of their customers. We didn't eat our meal after the first few bites, the fish on tacos where the fish tasted processed and horrible. The pizza was just cheese and toppings slapped on top of a pita bread. Horribly cheesy and gooey. The only good thing going, our waiter was friendly and his service was good.

Very extensive menu, great for our picky eaters and vegan diet. Full breakfast menu all day, burgers, middle eastern fare, even a veggie stir fry for my vegan daughter. Super nice waitstaff. Location by the beach allows for people-watching, and News Cafe is a longtime South Beach icon. Should be part of every visit!

I went for breakfast and I can say it was good. I have smoked salmon and scrambled eggs. The service was frendly and attentive. The restaurant have a very good location in Ocean Drive with view to the beach.

Wow has this place changed. Horrible service. Ordered eggs medium sunny - they came burnt well done. Ordered coffee - didn't come with milk and had to wait ten min for it. They redid the eggs and then forgot to give me any silverware. By the time I had my meal it was already cold. Finally asked for the check and they gave me the bill without a pen to sign it with. Like what kind of alternate reality is this restaurant operating in?? A shame because it used to be good. Not coming back anymore.

This is a lovely place with great food and really good service. The News Cafe is located in an area full of restaurants and bars but they stand out by keeping a low profile and delivering simple good food. The waiters were very friendly and helpful with both food and local information.

After being accosted numerous times by various venues along south beach, we finally decided on the News Cafe.
While initially dubious from the outside, I urge you to look past this and give it a go. The extensive menu can be a little overwhelming at first, but after a brief explanation of certain aspects from our waiter, we settled the quintessential way to start your day...buttermilk pancakes/waffles, streaky bacon and maple syrup, it was heaven. Follow that with a large iced tea and chunky doorstop toast, and you're on to a winner.
The staff seems a little quiet/rushed, but all on all a great breakfast choice. Prime location on South Beach Miami, a fresh breeze and a choice of sunny or shaded tables depending on preference.
