The Wade in Chicago

Rooms look very dated and are relatively smaller. The TV system will remind you of early 2000's. There is no coffee maker in the room.
Lobby is the best part of the hotel look and feel. Room hallways are very dark.

Great location to stay near Navy Pier but it is needing some updating. Rooms are in a little rough shape but bed was very comfortable. Also I always like having coffee in my room in the morning. You have to go down to the lobby to get your cup of joe to enjoy.
We also had elevator noise in the room we were in. It was quite loud. All in all, just a building that needs a little love and $ to charge 4⭐️ rates.
We had a great time in Chi-town though!

Just meh. Will not stay here again, unfortunately the Marriott courtyard was sold out during my stay so I had to choose this one. This hotel is having an identity crisis as it’s marked as a luxury hotel but the rooms are rough.

First off, I did not receive an upgraded room for my birthday nor anything special and as a Marriott high level member this was a bit disappointing. First time this has happened but whatever.

The entrance is pretty nice but that’s really it. The room itself is beaten up covered with ‘nice’ furniture to hide all the issues. There is no hot water machine either which is the least they can do but oh well, can’t even provide free tea or coffee. The drawers were completely broken, the tv could only get a few channels as the rest had really bad connection (no dish like the courtyard so you can’t stream Netflix btw), and on top of that wifi is not free lol.

The only pros I would give is that the rooms were pretty quiet, room service left new water bottles everyday and the location is right next to the pier. I would only stay here as a last resort compared to other 4 star hotels.

The restaurants within the hotel were nice as well but I don’t really care for these when my room is giving motel 6 lol. I guess all the budget went to everything else but the room. Bleh.
