The hotel is pretty good, just the room was a little bit small

Hotel service was great, there are basic toiletries provided but no room slippers (bring your own if you don’t want to step on the carpet). Overall the stay was great, the Queen room was of decent size but may be a little small for 2 pax. If budget is not a problem then go for King bed, the room is muchhh bigger.

1. Thieves: After charging the full amount to my card beforehand, they added a BS "destination fee" to the bill without informing me and charged my credit card.
2. Unsafe: The room door would not close all the way on its own. Housekeeping knew and did nothing about it.

I had a great stay at this hotel and would return if I go back to DC. My complaints are minor: there are no outlets by the bed, there was some random repairs happening in the morning, and my room phone didn’t work until I put in a complaint. Other than these things, the hotel is in a great location and is very clean!

Guest rooms are very spacious. Location is great: walking distance to Georgetown and five minutes to the DuPont Circle Red Line station. Check in and check out were fast. The fitness center equipment was upgraded during my visit. The pool was, however, closed for the duration.

Staff were friendly. The business center’s printer’s toner needed to be replaced but wasn’t during my visit but front desk staff helped me with printing. Housekeeping staff are nice but sometimes maybe too busy and can forget to replenish everything, such as paper cups for the coffee machines.

Generally very good value hotel.

It's a mediocre place all around. The food is all ok and the drinks are all ok too nothing special. The space is quite nice and the staff is very friendly so it's good for meeting someone or sitting down as working.

Horrible experience, the staff was rude and condescending, service was very bad. We were served what I can only describe as raw eggs that came with a side of plain bread. Prices were outrageous and servers were unaccommodating. They apparently removed cheese platters from the menu (and they pretend to be french) and charged me $10 for a piece of disappointing goat cheese.

This is a frequent stop for us just because it's right off of Dupont Circle, but its a really nice blend of comfort (eg, Shepard's pie, beef stew, etc), beer&wiskey (nice selection of English/Scotland varieties) and atmosphere (can get a bit loud at peak dinner times). Try a flight of beers ... makes for fun conversation.

Very nice place with outdoor seating. Prices are reasonable, and appetizers are good. In addition, they have live music too.

I frequent this restaurant as a good alternative when Frontpage is over crowded. My group and I placed our orders for mimosas, as a accident on behalf of our waitress, drinks and champagne were spilled all over us. We were drenched in alcohol and glass. Our waitress apologized repeatedly, the manager witnessed the incident and offered napkins to help. (That was all that we saw from him). Once clearing the table off, we deciding to make the most of the disaster and order food. Our waiter apologized for a second time and said our bill will be comped on behalf of the manager, due to the extreme incident. (Mind you the manager David never apologized for the incident). Our waitress came to our table and said that after further thought the manager will comp our round of drinks. This would have been okay, however once I asked for the manager to at least apologize in person, is when my discomfort started to grow. David, the manager approach us and said "what seems to be the issue?" He than, began too jokingly say that "things like this happen all the time and that its just the business". I have not heard of any restaurants in DC spilling champagne and glass as a common practice. From his lack of concern for our safety and comfort really leaves me to question how this establishment is still in business. As a person who loves a wonderful restaurant, I would not recommend James Hobans. From the uncomfortable experience I had during my time there, I would rate this and David Giroup( the manager) a one star. I will provide photos once I remove the glass from my shoes.

Go-to Irish pub. The food is solid and they have drink specials for each day of the week. They have a massive bar with a bunch of Tv's so its a good place to catch games. They have live music on the weekends and it gets one of the largest crowds for St. Paddy's day.

Me likey. Food was fantastic. Easily accommodated weird food restrictions. Weren't perturbed by children, had kid menu and bake-your-own cookie activity. Waiter Rachel was extremely helpful and my beer never ran dry. Definitely going back.

Was there with family for Christmas Eve brunch. My polenta with spinach, mushrooms, and poached eggs was savory and filling. We all enjoyed our meals. Service was quick and friendly.

The truffle fries are amazing!! I wanted to order two of them. And the bartender Brendan is amazing! His drinks are superb. Definitely will come back.

Firefly has a few strikes against them and it's warranted. First off, it's a restaurant in a hotel. Secondly, it's only three stars on Yelp. Finally, their main selling point is a giant tree in the middle of the restaurant. Enough said.

I met the CEO of the Muse here for a small group discussion about the future of work. We had a small back room reserved that was very quiet. The service was fast and hands on, but the food was just okay. I ordered the pumpkin soup (which was the stand out dish of the lunch) and a reuben that was mediocre.

If you're a hotel guest, there's worst places to dine, but in a city full of top restaurants, I'd spend time researching other options.

A small and interestingly-decorated concept restaurant attached to a boutique hotel within convenient walking distance from the DuPont Circle Metro stop. The food is slightly on the pricier side, but absolutely delicious and the service was very friendly. The menu is comprised of inventive and seasonal dishes - definitely try the pumpkin cheesecake french toast! There's a taste for every palate and the atmosphere of the restaurant is fun and unique. Definitely would recommend!
