Selina Bad Gastein is a rustic hotel in the center of "downtown" Bad Gastein. The building is some 200 years old and judging by the elevator, the place is in need of some renovating. Loved my stay at Selina it's got hotel features combined with community aspects of a hostel so the best of both worlds. My one moan is that the hotel advertises itself as ski in ski out. It isn't. The walk to the lift is short, only 5 minutes but a pain on the way home as it is uphill. And you need to navigate to the bottom of the kohlmais lift at the end of the day as otherwise it's a 15 minute walk from the other lifts. There doesn't seem to be a ski bus in the town. We were a large group of friends ages from 16 to 63 and everyone thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff were amazing at all times and enhanced our stay. We hope to return next year and would recommend Eva Garden to everybody.

Average hotel . It is situated about 10 minutes walk outside Saalbach village and only a 5 minute walk to the first gondala . We chose this hotel as we wanted somewhere quiet . A bit far from the city centre, but there is direct bus No. 1 right in front of the hotel, which makes getting around very convenient. They allow us to keep our luggage at the hotel before and after our stay.

This hotel is a fantastic value for money! It's a 10-minute tram ride from Central Station, so it might seem a bit far from the city center, but if you're not in a hurry, it's well worth it! A great venue for walkers. The " Boot Room" has a sink to wash your walking boots and individual lockers opened by your room pass. This hotel has a very good cafe where one can sit on the terrace and and enjoy coffee and delicious cake. They did a great job serving me and my 33 guests quickly and kindly. Try the Marillen brandy 😛 and remember to call ahead if you have a big group. Wish we had had time for the cable car to the top of the mountain.

The Alpine Palace Wolf is modern and traditional hotel, the spa attached to the hotel is good but I was disappointed again this year as the water in the outdoor jacuzzi and swimming pool were not hot. It's a lovely place to stay and the staff are very well trained and always polite.

The staff were exceptionally friendly, and the room was spacious. However, the hotel is quite far from the city center and the main train station, with limited transportation options nearby. That said, the hotel provides free public transportation tickets, which helps offset the inconvenience.
