Decided to try Manxin Mansion with a 'let's see' attitude, and it turned out to be a genuine Beijing courtyard hotel. My kids absolutely loved the Little Yellow Duck family suite, so we immediately extended our stay for another four nights at the front desk.

The room was clean and odor-free, the best part being no smoke smell whatsoever.

The staff were incredibly enthusiastic. They'd spot us from a distance and come over to help with our luggage. When we left, they personally saw us off at the station and even helped us mail our express package.

I especially have to mention the hotel's memory foam pillows – they ensured I slept soundly every night until dawn. Loved them, loved them!

For the first two days in Beijing, I stayed near Wangfujing Street because it was closer to the Forbidden City on foot. After three days of exploring, I was exhausted and really wanted to experience a traditional courtyard hotel, so I chose Manxin Mansion. And it certainly didn't disappoint! It's very close to Qianmen Street, which was super convenient for evening strolls, grabbing food, and buying souvenirs. The hotel staff even upgraded us to a courtyard room, which was wonderful. The sweet soup served when we returned to the hotel and the breakfast were both great. I'd definitely consider staying here again next time I bring my child.

The environment is great, you can really feel the courtyard atmosphere. The exterior is antique, but the interior facilities are very modern, and the hygiene is excellent. The front desk service was good, and the breakfast, though not extensive, was exquisite. There's a taxi stand right outside the hutong, and dining options nearby are convenient. It's a moderate distance to tourist attractions, so getting around by taxi is easy.

It was simply fabulous. The staff were fantastic and the location couldn’t be better. Couldn’t have asked for more . If back in Beijing I am definitely staying here again

How should I put it? The value for money is really low. I originally booked a Deluxe Queen Room for 1000 yuan, but it was incredibly small. It only had a 1.5-meter bed, and the space was so cramped I doubt I could even fully open my luggage. I ended up paying extra to upgrade to a King Room with a 1.8-meter bed. Regardless, the space remained very tight.

The hotel's service itself was excellent. The lobby attendant, Xiao Deng, was very enthusiastic and helped me with my luggage, which was particularly heavy. I was initially drawn to the hotel because of the travel photography and free Hanfu try-on experience. However, once I got there, I found out they only had a few Hanfu outfits, which guests had to share. The travel photography service wasn't great either; the photos turned out very mediocre. I can only say that this MANXIN hotel, in general, is significantly overpriced. Giving a good review out of habit.

Location is perfect, right at qianmen and a short walk to Dashilar. It is also convenient to most attractions in Beijing.

We had an absolutely spectacular stay at this hotel. What truly sets this property apart is its exceptional staff. Even though English was limited, communication was completely seamless and efficient via WeChat.

>Our arrival was at 3:00 AM, and we were blown away when a staff member met us directly at our taxi drop-off point to guide us and carry our heavy luggage. When we checked out, it was pouring rain; the staff proactively brought out umbrellas, shielded us, handled our bags, and even sent us off with a lovely, thoughtful parting gift. The level of care here is truly heartwarming.

The room was very clean and modern despite the historic building.

* **The Amenities:** The lobby is incredibly welcoming and consistently stocked with high-quality teas, fresh fruit, and delicious snacks.
* **The Photography Package:** Do not miss out on this! We highly recommend booking their photography experience—the team did a phenomenal job, and it was entirely worth it.
* **Location & DiDi Hack:** The hotel sits right on the vibrant, car-free Qianmen Pedestrian Street, which is fantastic for walking and filled with endless local food options. However, because cars cannot enter the pedestrian zone, getting a taxi can be a bit tricky. **Insider tip:** Always set your DiDi or taxi pickup/drop-off location to the nearby museum instead of the hotel name. Beijing drivers get easily confused by the car-free zone, but the museum location is foolproof.
* **Transit:** Traffic in Beijing can be intense. The Metro station right on Qianmen Street is just a short walk away and by far the most efficient way to get to forbidden city.
Thank you to the entire team for making our stay so memorable. We cannot recommend this hotel highly enough!

The service was excellent, and the staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, which I really appreciated. The photographer was also fantastic; I absolutely loved the photos they took! If you're looking for great pictures, I highly recommend them. Everything was just beautiful, and I was so satisfied. The breakfast was delicious too. I loved everything about my stay!

From check-in to check-out, the staff (the young men and women) provided excellent service. Even the doorman remembered to ask if we needed water when we left, which shows how thoughtful and detailed their service is. We truly felt at home. Also, the breakfast was pretty good. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Beijing.
