This hotel has the same stately, sophisticated vibe as Shanghai's Dongjiao and Xijiao State Guesthouses. Strolling along Taihu Lake with the spring breeze was delightful. The most memorable part was Suzhou's S-shaped bay

Although the room was a bit old, it was well-maintained. I was quite satisfied with the room; it was quiet, and the butler service was excellent

Although this hotel is very high end there were a few things that I did not think was very good. Firstly, the level of English at the front desk was less than many other less expensive hotels

When I asked the security guard about charging, he said he didn't know. I went down and looked for a while and took the wrong elevator again! In addition to the bathtub, the lake view I like is OK

The trash cans in the bathroom and the room were not covered with plastic bags! The front desk did not tell me how to go down to the underground garage when I checked in on 5

For families traveling with infants, I'd recommend bringing your own co-sleeper to this hotel. After all, the adult beds are relatively soft, and there's a risk of accidentally rolling over onto a small baby during sleep

They might be suitable for toddlers around one or two, or even three or four years old, but they're not ideal for younger babies. Of course, the hotel does provide bed rails, but we brought our own co-sleeper

Firstly, the third restroom in the lobby has a changing table, but no nursing room. This means if you've already checked out or haven't checked in yet, and need to breastfeed, your only option is in your car

They don't need to provide detailed travel guides or anything, just some simple suggestions, especially for families traveling with children, would be helpful

Thirdly, the front desk staff aren't very knowledgeable about local attractions or recommended travel services. I think there's room for improvement here

The hotel has a great location, directly facing Lake Taihu, and one side of the rooms offers a beautiful lake view

On certain days, we were told to use the staff lift to go up and go down which the lift look very run-down

Convenient transportation, comfortable and safe hotel

We had to wait a little for our room, but the front desk had set up a nice spread of snacks and fruits in the lobby bar, plus there was a TV, which was understandable given it was Chinese New Year

The cleaning staff were all very polite when we saw them, and the ladies at the service center were so friendly and patiently answered all our questions, one after another. Truly lives up to the InterContinental brand! 👍

The best family hotel near taihu for our family. With in/outdoor swimming pool and many activities for a kid. Quite atmosphere and great service let us stay there when we visit taihu area

So, we went back to the hotel around 8 PM to finally get our room key. The pool wasn't very big, and the glass was a bit dirty. Also, there weren't many seats available for breakfast

The hotel's 'sky pool' was probably only about 15 meters long – it felt smaller than some bathhouses. Only the service and location were decent. It's an influencer hotel, nothing more

Staying in Building 8 was the worst. The new furniture smell in the room on the first night was so strong it made my throat hurt. The air conditioning and shower water were also not great
