This garden villa hotel, converted from historic buildings in the Old French Concession, boasts an excellent location. It's nestled in a quiet, tree-lined area yet conveniently close to the bustling Huaihai Road. There are many charming shops nearby, perfect for a leisurely stroll. The hotel is very well-maintained, and I had a very comfortable stay. The staff were all friendly and polite. Thank you.

Ambiance: Good, the courtyard is better than the lobby.
Service: Good, the service is better than the food.
Cleanliness: Good, the 'soft power' (overall experience/vibe) is better than the 'hard power' (tangible aspects).
Food: Good, the price is better than the food itself. The group meals, in particular, are just average and need improvement.

The balcony room has a small balcony with a rounded arch, offering a romantic view of the sycamore-lined streets. The scenery and atmosphere are both excellent. Directly opposite the hotel is the beautiful campus of the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. Step outside the hotel, and you'll find charming spots everywhere within walking distance.

Service: Very professional. The hotel staff were experienced, polite, and efficient, responding quickly to guest needs. They understood what guests wanted even from just a few words – as we say in Shanghai, 'lao ling ge' (super excellent).

Environment: A tranquil oasis amidst the hustle and bustle. The hotel's main entrance faces the southeast gate of the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, making it the absolute best choice for anyone visiting the Conservatory or attending a performance. IAPM is about 400 meters away, offering shopping, gourmet food, and a City Supermarket, all easily accessible by subway. The hotel's courtyard isn't large, but it has a tennis court and a small garden, creating a charming, old-Shanghai ambiance.

Cleanliness: Standard. The hotel isn't new, but it's clean and bright, making for a comfortable stay.

Facilities: No bedside outlets, which was quite inconvenient. You also need a second room card to activate the power when you enter, which is a bit of a hassle. The direct Wi-Fi connection was a plus. The hairdryer was old and not very effective. However, the complimentary bottled water in the room was plentiful and good. Other amenities like the air conditioning and water temperature were comfortable, no issues there.

Returned for another stay and was very satisfied. The location is great, it's quiet, and it's convenient for visiting nearby attractions. I would definitely recommend it to friends.

The hotel's location is incredibly convenient, right across from the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. Stepping out, you're immediately on a beautiful street perfect for a city walk, and it's also very close to the subway station. The hotel itself is nestled in a quiet and lovely little garden. The service and cleanliness are quite good; the only drawback is that the facilities are a bit old. However, this doesn't detract from its great value for money. I'd definitely choose to stay here again.

An experience that exceeded expectations! I booked a terrace room, and the moment I pulled back the curtains, it was stunning – I was greeted by golden ginkgo trees. The hotel's decor is quite traditional, but the facilities feel relatively new. I originally booked it just because it's conveniently located across from the Shanghai Conservatory of Music for an exam, but I never expected such a great stay. I even took some super artistic photos of my daughter. Room 215 is highly recommended!

Lovely hotel. Feels grand. Different all the Atours and no fancy bidet or auto curtains. Near the French concessions and great for walks around. There is a park nearby where you can watch elderly doing their morning exercises.

Truly a special place. The hotel is set on the grounds of a private compound. The hotel itself is not a historic building, but there are historic buildings in the compound. There’s also a lovely garden in the complex. Our only problem was with the WiFi - it didn’t seem to work consistently.

Wide range of healthy and fresh options. Dishes can be a bit pricey compared to other comparable options, but portions are large and ingredients are high quality. The nice atmosphere and large number of locations make this a reliable and satisfying option.
