Initially, I was worried the hotel might be too old, so I booked the J Hotel at Shanghai Tower across the street instead. The third picture was taken from J Hotel, and I always felt a bit caged in, somewhat claustrophobic. I much prefer the Grand Hyatt Jin Mao, which doesn't have double-layered glass curtain walls or railings outside the windows, offering a much better view. With the Grand Hyatt being more than half the price, I feel it's a more reliable choice.

Overall, I was quite satisfied with this stay, but the facilities are definitely a bit old. There's no smart toilet, the showerhead is inconvenient, and the TV signal is poor. The lounge service was mediocre; the staff were neither warm nor cold. The breakfast restaurant on the 56th floor had a wide variety of food, but the Chinese hot dishes were just average. The lounge food was quite disappointing, with limited options that didn't change much over several days, and it was mostly crowded and noisy. The hotel's location is excellent, with convenient transportation. I paid to upgrade to a river view room during check-in, but I couldn't see the Oriental Pearl Tower, which the front desk didn't clarify, leaving me a bit frustrated.

Environment: They're still using guest rooms for business events, completely disregarding the privacy and safety of their in-house guests. This is an absolute disgrace for a 5-star hotel!!!!

The environment here is incredibly livable, surrounded by lush greenery, making the air feel wonderfully fresh. Getting around is also very straightforward. The service is thoughtful and attentive without being intrusive; they're always there when you need them and are very polite, making for a truly comfortable stay.

I recently stayed at the Grand Hyatt Shanghai for a business trip, and it was an exceptional experience. The hotel's location in the heart of Lujiazui is perfect for business travelers, offering seamless access to the financial district and connecting directly to major malls.
The Guest Room on the high floor provided a quiet and comfortable environment, ensuring a restful sleep after busy workdays. The highlight was definitely the Guest Club on the 83rd floor. The executive lounge offered a professional atmosphere for informal meetings, and the Happy Hour provided a great selection of food with an incredible view of the sunset over the Huangpu River. The staff were highly efficient and professional, handling all my requests promptly. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Shanghai for work.

Absolutely loved the location here! It's quiet and peaceful, yet very convenient for getting around, and the area right outside is lively. The staff were incredibly attentive and kind, always ready to help with any last-minute requests. Perfect for a long-term stay.

Very satisfied with this hotel! The location is superb, really close to the subway station, and the view of the river and the Oriental Pearl Tower is fantastic. There are also lots of convenient dining options nearby. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The best surprise was the Dyson hairdryer – so many hotels have old, weak hairdryers, so this was a real plus. I couldn't seem to find any complimentary tea bags though? If there really aren't any, that would be a good improvement.

No need to go to Shanghai Tower for night views, you can get amazing ones right from the Grand Hyatt Jin Mao. The room was spotlessly clean, and汤臣一品 is right downstairs. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. Plus, it's super convenient for transport and dining.

I booked this room last minute and was pleasantly surprised! The hotel is well-maintained and looks brand new, and all the appliances work perfectly. The hallways are quiet and clean, offering excellent privacy. The customer service staff were patient and kind, and handled issues efficiently. The value for money was incredible. A truly perfect experience! ♥️♥️♥️

It's definitely a bit old, but then again, it's a memory for many old Shanghainese. Given its location and view, I guess occupancy isn't an issue. The lounge is worth visiting, but the guest rooms might be a bit challenging for those with a fear of heights.
