Where do I begin! We got married here in October 2025 and stayed for 2 weeks. The wedding ceremony venue is beautiful overlooking the sea, Thalassa for the reception is amazing. Charlotte the wedding planner goes above and beyond, our day was outstanding! Such a lovely hotel and amazing staff. Everyone was so helpful and friendly! Food choices were brilliant both a la carte restaurants were great and we had two coeliacs in our group - they provided great gluten free options including pasta dishes and pizza along with good labelling in the buffet and they made gluten free pancakes freshly each morning! Stella in the salon is lovely and looked after our bridal party on the wedding day, she made us feel relaxed and special. The bar has plenty of choices, cocktails were great. Rooms were being refurbished this winter and I can't wait to go back and see!!

Sadly our last visit to this hotel we have been here 5 years running and thought I had found the best place I had ever been to and that was the case until the last visit. The wedding parties that were there ruined the whole holiday for us and for many others. A few of the guests were drunk from early on in the morning and as the day went on got louder and louder. Even in the restaurant it was the same one man had to be helped by his children to get food. I was waiting for the manager to say something but they turned a blind eye. What a shame as the good and staff are amazing.

Pros

The lunch and dinner buffet is excellent – classic dishes, well-prepared and of high quality.

Some of the seasonal staff maintain a very professional standard and gave a positive impression.

Cons

The hotel is marketed as newly renovated but feels worn in several areas.

The pool area is overcrowded. Guests queue long before opening to rush in and reserve sunbeds, leaving little space for others.

Rooms are small and not suitable for families with young children. The minibar contains only one bottle of water, which guests are expected to refill themselves throughout the stay.

Every night, without exception, there is loud entertainment from around 8:30 pm until midnight. The volume is so high that it is impossible to sleep, even with doors and windows closed – making the hotel feel more like a party destination than a family resort.

Staff attitude is inconsistent. Some days friendly, other days condescending. The impression is that the hotel is run like a family circle – but as a guest, you are not part of it.

The decisive experience

On our last day, it became painfully clear how little the hotel cares for its guests. Check-out was at 12:00, but our transfer bus did not leave until 16:45. That left us with more than five hours without a room – with a 5.5-month-old baby, during a heatwave that had prompted official warnings.

When we asked for a late check-out, we were met with a smile and an almost mocking “no”. The only option offered was to sign up for a 30-minute slot in a changing room – with no guarantee.

We were left in the lobby, where the AC was either turned off or not working. The reception staff made no effort to help – but had set up their own little fan behind the desk to keep themselves cool. We had to take turns fanning our baby to prevent him from overheating, while the staff looked on.

For a hotel that promotes itself as family-friendly and family-run, this was not just poor service – it was morally inhumane.

Conclusion

The food is outstanding, but everything else – the service, the noise, the lack of child-friendliness, and above all the absence of basic human care – means we cannot recommend this hotel. Instead of feeling welcome, we felt like we were in the way.

What a disappointment. We have visited here for some 10 years but felt very saddened and depressed with our experience this year. The place was closing around our ears and made us feel uneasy about what was going to shut next. After 3 days the al la carte restaurants shut and the lovely beach side restaurant too (this is 1 of the main reasons we visit this hotel). The food choices became very limited and we began to wonder if we would survive for the last 3 days. The entertainment became very rudimentary with the advertised events not happening. Everything was being dismantled. The final straw was the removal of bottles from the bar whilst we were awaiting our transport to the airport. It all left a very sour taste in our mouths. The few comfortable seats in the bar were also removed as we waited. Tui really should not sell this hotel for the final week if it is going to gradually close. Management should urgently address this issue. The hardworking staff in the restaurant and bar were wonderfull as usual. I fear loyal customers will be lost.

Fantastic location with exceptional staff. Hotel is immaculate and the food was great. Plenty of lovely places to walk to and are close by. Lovely scenery with a view of the sea that you wake up to every morning. If you are looking for nightlife? Protaris is just up the road

We had a lovely spacious room with great sea views. The meal we had in the a la Carte restaurant was devine. One of the best meals we've ever had. I have to mention the pancake lady. Who not only made delicious omelettes but was one of the loveliest people I've met. Also the lovely room maid who did a great job of keeping our room clean.

Hotel ok. End of season specialty restaurants cloed down on Wednesday. Only one bar area open very noisy. Reception staff ok except for one person who was not very helpful. A wonderful hotel, we upgraded to a sea view and it was so worth it, view was amazing. Rooms were nice and spacious, bit disappointing to only have a bottle of water in the mini fridge and it was not topped up at all the whole trip. Our dressing gowns were also took away after 2nd day and not replaced which was disappointing. Hotel grounds were lovely, staff very welcoming and friendly. Reception weren’t that helpful, when we checked in we were given no information as we arrived late, we visited the desk the following morning and were told to scan the QR code which had all information on. Food was incredible, not a single bad meal, excellent selection at lunch and dinner. We found 10am very early for hot breakfast to end. Cocktail menu was well packed and of great quality, would have been nice to have more selection of beer but the coors was always cold and fresh. The wine was also spot on. There was no crisps / nuts available with drinks at all which was disappointing. Location was amazing, we hired a buggy from round the corner for a great price. Local to nearby beaches / restaurants / bars / supermarkets. Overall extremely happy with our stay and looking forward to returning!
