Narcissos Waterpark Resort in Protaras

Stayed as a family of 5 across 3 rooms. 1 wasn’t cleaned for the first 3 days. Came early season construction works going on when told would be complete - not really an issue that effected us but not ideally what you want on holiday tanning next to labour men hearing drills etc up to 22.00. Spacious rooms however, with tiny balcony’s but they do the job - somewhere to put the towels and the toys! Full length mirror in wardrobe door not very accessible for what you need it for, given the sizes of the room it literally could have gone anywhere else. - no toilets by main pool - No Toilets in restaurant - Not enough bins The food is really bad, possibly the worst all inclusive food we’ve ever had. On day 1 we had to go the shop to buy food/snacks, by our second night we were going out for our evening meal. One chef carved a chicken wrong and served my daughter half of the breast bone?? That was strange. The food is repetitive, there isn’t much variety, not ideal for even the slightest picky eater - which 4 of the 5 of us are. A good percentage of the evening meals are clearly repurposed from lunch and not in a waste reduction eco friendly kind of way. Breakfast is probably the best meal of the day at a push. The pastries aren’t fresh, the fruit doesn’t look fresh and appealing at all, limited cereal options, No snack bar for between meals?? No water fountains/bottle refill stations. Staff are either all or nothing and I put that down to be start of the season. It’s either they don’t know a single thing (1 bar staff didn’t know how to make a cup of lemonade??) or are too attentive, you finish your plate and 5 people are coming over. Generally all very kind and helpful though. General cleanliness of the hotel is good. None EU plugs - would have been handy information to know prior to arriving Work men letting themselves in rooms - my bathroom had to be resealed and I feel that’s just something that probably could have been done while it was closed. Andreas, Takis & Dimitris are exceptional staff, can’t do enough for you. Sadly we wouldn’t return nor would we recommend. When people are saying ignore the bad reviews - don’t.
