Grand Hotel Dream Frankfurt City in Frankfurt am Main

To start of this is not a 4 star hotel to be honest this is horrible for a 3 star. The room was compact and old the carpet had dirt and mold at some places and the bathroom was old and a little dirty. There was no hot water I stayed for 3 days and there is loud construction for almost the entire day. The breakfast is mediocre honestly a joke and there is no air-conditioning in your room which is so crazy for a 4 star hotel they just provide you a fan which I can ignore the crazy thing that made me give it a 1 star is the service the owner was one of the rudest people I ever had the chance to meet in my lifetime , from the get go he was rude to me and my family while checking in and had an attitude, but I ignored that and continued because all of the other hotels were booked. There was also a woman at reception she was okay wasn't as rude but the owner was unbearable. It was fine until the very last day I asked the owner to stay in one of the rooms out of the 2 we were renting until 6pm because there was no hot water and other issues in our rooms we agreed but he told me to clear the belongings of one of the rooms and make the other room empty by 12pm. I went out to go shopping ( I am a foreigner came from Ethiopia on a family trip) and I came a little late around 2 pm I told him I'd pay half of night because of my inconvenience of 2 hours and he refused and told me to pay the full amount even though I was leaving that night back to my country. Now I know it was my fault yes I messed up but I was going to pay him half of the night with was 50 euros of the 100 per night we agreed on but he refused and started yelling at me and my father. Then he continued to call me racial slurs and almost hit me as I was trying to talk to him to come to a solution the man single handedly made me hate the country and traveling for a little while. At the end people from the neighborhood came and broke the fight he was causing and thank God Ethiopians came thay spoke German and calmed the situation down I ended up paying 50 euros and we ran out of that dirty , old ,smelly and disgusting place for good. Sorry this was long but this place is not worth any money my dignity and wellbeing were at cost for the cheap price of this hotel never staying here again.

under renovation for years

Let me start by saying that there was a conference in town the week I stayed so I paid $500+ a night for this hotel - this is NOT a $500/night hotel.
Overall, the hotel is a bit dated with red decor everywhere. The outside construction made getting an Uber/Bolt difficult, and I had to walk through some dark alleys by myself to access public transport (and there are some sketchy stores nearby if you make a wrong turn). The room was basic, neither of the lights by my bed worked and the blow dryer burnt out within 30 seconds of use (they provided me with a new one). Oftentimes the front desk was not manned and any issues I had had to wait for the next day to be dealt with, such as my internet code not being valid. Brunch was okay - some lunch meat and fruit, the "hot" food was often cold and the break was not fresh.

I would recommend to stay AWAY from this Hotel! It is under construction & has been for 2 years. There were 3 things we looked for when booking a Hotel in Frankfurt, Air Conditioning, Free Parking & Airport shuttle. All of these things are listed on their website but None are available due to the Construction. We were booked for 2 nights & only stayed for 1. I felt very unsafe there as the Front door is left open & many times , no one at the front desk so anyone could walk in & go where they like. No security on the Elevator.

Unfortunately, my stay was very disappointing. The service was poor, and the staff—especially the manager was unfriendly. The room was not clean, and there was little to no support. I do not recommend this hotel.
