Hotel Ayun by Centro Comfort in Koln

This was a last minute booking for a trip to the Christmas markets. We booked the deluxe and looking at the other reviews I would say that it's definitely worth paying a bit extra for the deluxe. Absolute massive room, modern bathroom, comfy bed and a very good heating system for December! It's the first time I have stayed in a hotel with no tea/coffee facilities in the room. We had a little fridge and with Lidl a short walk away we got some drinks and kept them cool in the fridge. Do not try and book in a minute early as they will make you sit and wait until 2 pm exactly! The hotel is in the worst location. Its in the middle of what seems to be the industrial area, we felt very unsafe walking back to the hotel at night! The hotel does look better on the inside, the outside definitely needs a lick of paint. The nearest bus station was quite a walk away and the walk to the centre was miles away with loads of homeless people along the way. The hotel staff was friendly though.

One of the cheapest options to rent a whole hotel room inside the city. The service is great, it's allowed to keep the luggage before check-in and after check-out. The staff is friendly and make their work properly. Location isn't convenient, there is an abandoned factory next to the hotel, where people don't feel safe, especially nights (don't know about the real crime rate but still it's a bit frightening). The rooms have everything what travelers need, however it's a bit small for two people. There were some insects inside (but considering that it was the end of spring, I guess it's okay). The furniture has definitely seen a lot. So generally the hotel is okay but I wouldn't return there.

I had a one might stay in here. The bed and pillow are comfortable. Lights in the room is very unevenly distributed and can nit make the brighter in a good way. The cleaning of the bathroom was average. Overall experience was okay. The breakfast was included and was reasonably okay.

It was shown to me as a 183 Euro Hotel and Trivago, it was the for 57 Euro. It's ok. From the outside, such as Etap, like Parkinn. So all in all, for 57 Euro realistic ok good and clean. For 183 euros, wishful thinking, never!

So, a construction site, the Hotel is not (as I read in another review here) - at least I could find in my 4-day stay.

The corridors are quite narrow, if the Cleaning crew is on the way, you have to squeeze on the car in the gear is over - with Luggage, not so cool, but half wild.
The rooms are clean and nicely decorated, we had apparently a slightly more modern rooms than others, you can look into it.
Unfortunately, only a door is between the rooms and gear, the other door between the bed-rooms and a narrow entrance area of the room was taken out (would have been too tight). Thus, one hears but everything that happens on the corridor, which is unfortunately at night, it often woke up. The bathroom is tight, but very beautiful and in totally in order - through the door, however, are not shielded from noise. Towels and toilet paper were not replenished.
The first night it was broken open on the road in a car trunk, but for 8 € per day you can secure a place in the hotel's own underground car Park - what I've done.

The area around the Hotel is not very pretty, there are train tracks next to the road (fortunately we got a room, the Windows of which have been shown in the other direction, making no noise pollution). The Hotel is very close to the exhibition centre, and a LIDL is close by.

For Breakfast I can say nothing, I don't have it booked.

All in all, the price/performance ratio is completely in order.
