This is a decent hostel. If you are looking for a quiet place to come back to after your day of excursions and relax, consider a hotel instead.
They offer game tables, a small bar with a few food options & a lounge. The front desk staff were efficient, but some were far from friendly. We had an issue with young men on our floor shouting, playing and slamming doors until 3am. At one point, they attempted to access our room. There was no way to contact the front desk and nobody enforcing quiet hours.
The best part of this stay was the breakfast. The area was clean, the selection was expansive and the attendant, Leo, was a welcome sight. He was friendly, knowledgeable and treated us like valued guests.
Overall, an inexpensive lodging choice with decent offerings but not my cup of tea.

The four-bed dormitory room has a private bathroom and a hairdryer, but towels are not provided. The Wi-Fi is very stable. You need to make your own bed and put on your own duvet and pillowcases. There is a storage cabinet under the bed, which can only hold a 45-liter hiking backpack. There is a bedside lamp, but no charging outlets; neither of the two USB chargers works. The heating is very good. A shared kitchen is available, with a microwave, induction cooker, kettle, refrigerator, and kitchen utensils and tableware available for free use. Luggage storage is available free of charge before check-in and after check-out.

Lovely staff at desk, nice reception and social spaces. Clean bathrooms. They did put me and my partner together on two single beds pushed together which would normally be a lovely surprise as we booked a 4 person room, however this was still a 4 person room with a bunk bed next to our double bed, which obviously felt a bit awkward.

The hotel is completely surrounded by a construction site. There were scaffolds right outside my room window, and throughout the day there was constant noise from drilling and hammering. It was impossible to rest or sleep properly.
Starting at 8:00 a.m., housekeeping began working in the corridor. Every time a door was slammed shut in the hallway, it caused a loud bang inside my room. Due to the nonstop noise, I was unable to get more than six hours of effective sleep.
If you are looking for a quiet place to rest, do not book this hotel.

The location of the hotel is moderate, but the facilities are complete and the hygiene is also very good, but the shower room is blocked.

This is the most basic and worst hotel I've ever stayed in. There's a bar downstairs with young people partying all night. The room and bathroom reeked, and even the shower had a terrible smell. Luckily, I only stayed one night and just made do. I definitely don't recommend it.

Very friendly staff and good facilities.
Great location.
My floor was very noisy as there were other groups on our floor screaming and slamming doors at 1AM every night, but windows are well insulated so the construction works going on outside my window didn't impact me much.
My room was comfortable, and even if my bedside table was dirty when I arrived, my room was cleaned several times during the stay.
I really enjoyed the breakfast and the 4 free drinks a day for group supervisors, as well as the music playing in the common spaces.
Thanks again to the whole team of a&o Neumarkt for a great stay!

I stayed alone, but unfortunately, I found what looked like a nail from a previous guest on one of the beds. The staff were very kind, but it seemed many guests were having trouble with the self-check-in, so they were swamped, and it took a while from check-in until I could get into my room. However, I was comfortable once I got into the room.
